Very nice chicken used here, rogan josh was quite mild and bland but a nice tasty madras, tasty bombay potato, good bread and starters and a set price special meal deal in the week (pre-booking required for deal) overall a good value meal.

Best Indian in town - been going for years. Always great service and food. Both had a custom shot of Bailey's today after our meals. Only £13.95 for a 3 course week Sunday to Thursday. Well worth it 👍

Pushy and overpriced. Paid over £70 for 2 drinks each and a main dish with one side each. There were two of us. Drinks were being pushed, along with items we did not want. I've been here several times but will not return again.

Cracking meal at the Black Pepper, 3 Courses £12.95 per head, lots of a variety to choose from, meal deal is 1 starter, 1 main and 1 side, didn't have to book due to arriving just after opening, plenty of staff who were very welcoming on entering the restaurant, worth a visit if your in the area and on a budget

Visited 21/9, first time for a while and was very impressed. The restaurant was quite full but the service was as pleasant and prompt as you could wish. We have NEVER had a bad meal here and notice that all the bad reviews that we have seen are about the takeaway delivery service. Black Pepper now accepts Tastecard and that makes the overall experience even more pleasant. Highly recommend a visit but cannot comment about takeaway service. Food brilliant.

Take away, orderd fine, I picked up, red hot, flavours excellent, chicken good, sauce very good, kena naan exceptional, staff friendly and professional, cleanliness excellent, rice very nicely cooked, very nice to see fresh coriander fresh herbs, spices well mixed, I think this is amazing food, served by highly knowledgeable staff, cooked by highly trained Asian cuisine chefs, I highly recommend black pepper, always ask thier advice on dishes. They really know the quality and understanding of Asian beautiful cuisine

Absolutely mouth watering selection of the finest Indian Cuisine. Service is quick and friendly. On top of the "normal" poppadoms and naan I had lamb tawa rezala which just melted in the mouth and danced on the tongue. Can't recommend highly enough.

Went for the first time last night it was absolutely delicious haven't had such a nice Indian in a long while

We book a table for 4 online and when when we arrived we stated we had a meerkat card (241) which he then told us we had to book. We then said to him are we still ok to use the meerkat card, if not we didn't want anything. He replied yes and then tried his best to make us order starters which we said 3x times that we didn't want any. We finally managed to order our food and when it came we enjoyed it and would definitely return. Just a shame we had trouble about the meerkat card.
