We have visited here 3 times and honestly cannot fault it! The staff are some of the friendliest I have met, and took time to talk with our whole party (10 of us total, mix of adults and kids) Food is amazing and portion sizes are great. Superb value for money all round!

We went to the buffet on a Sunday afternoon It was very busy at 4.30 and the biggest issue was it was over crowded, we needed a high chair and we had to knock into next table to get past Very difficult to get in and out of table. The food overall was very good, very limited for a vegetarian, it would have been nice to able to be able to ask for vege versions. The biggest disappointment food wise was the poppadoms, they were kept in a heated cabinet and basically were bendy!!!very very off putting...such a shame

When there mid week and we were amongst a handful of tables so service was fairly quick. They obviously had new staff working a quite shift but as his first language was not English, trying to communicate was like a badly staged game of charades. The food we ordered was good although more spicy than we expected and on selecting sweet, we both ordered and only one sweet was brought to the table as they had run out of the other we requested.

Enjoyed a fabulous meal from their extensive buffet menu, washed down with a large glass of Cobra lager. A very pleasant Sunday evening. I would highly recommend Maahis to anyone requiring a delicious meal with excellent service. Plus, it doesn't go anywhere near breaking the bank! 😁

Starter was bland (chicken tikka), main course (chicken tikka ceylon) was very tasty and spicy. So, food was OK but service was poor. First waiter asked us all several times to repeat our order. The second waiter was not very professional slapping down the meals saying make space as if it was our job. Sadly won't be going back, shame really as it is a nice place inside. If you can put up with poor service then give it a go

Usually very good quality takeaways but sometimes the order is missing items and on the last visit we were given two weirdly overcooked naans that should never have left the kitchen - compensated with two fresh breads, a vegetable and lamb dish which was very nice.

My partner and I have never treated ourselves to go into an Indian restaurant before, despite indian being our favourite takeaway, we buy the ready meals as a treat, but 1 night he said screw it, let's go out and we decided on this place and my god......Best decision ever. Food was amazing, waitress could if done with showing that she wanted to be there and smiled but was polite. Definitely be coming back again.

They have good food preparation and taste of Asian cuisine. I will not say they are fully matching the Indian taste but they are close. Chicken curry is made of sliced tikka which is not good. Vegetarian preparation are much better with balanced spices.

We enjoyed our visit. We had starters of poppadoms and pickles followed by onion bhaji and vegetable samosas. Then we had Bombay sizzler with lamb and chicken and chicken dupiaza with pilau rice. The restaurant was busy and we did have to wait between each course. Unfortunately the pilau rice and dupiaza were not hot by the time we were served so we had to send them back. However all the food was very tasty and attractively served. The restaurant is pleasant inside and prices were reasonable. There is good car parking and the entrance is accessible. We enjoyed our visit and would return if we are in the area again.

Truly exceptional meal!!!! Being located where it is I thought....they must be good to be able to attract people in. I was not wrong! Simply amazing food, excellent customer service and even though we live about 15 miles away and there's about 50 million other Indian restaurants between us.....we've found our new, regular restaurant! Great food, friendly staff although we were on a table of 17 including children the kids meals came out first they had finished there's before the adults foods had arrived then they all came out at different stages some people were waiting while others foods were going cold so they started without us. But nobody could fault the meals they had portions definitely enough to feed you and of you leave some you can ask for a doggy bag an take the rest home! Definitely recommend

Wow! Nothing has took my breath away more than Mr Maahis with his special ingredients in the madrass which was topped off with pilau rice and chips. Haven’t had a better meal in years, the following day I had to take some toilet roll on the job however I only had to sprint back to the van twice to let rip! The all you can eat buffet is extreme value for money. You will not leave hungry. And there is a varied selection of dishes to pick from (Starters, Mains, and Sweets). It is a very popular and busy place so it's better if you phone and make a reservation or you may have a wait to get a table. But you can always have a drink while you wait. They also do take out.

Had previously rated this restaurant higher (4 stars). Have been to the buffet many times over the past few years and always been pretty happy. Tonight there were lots of dishes (starters, mains and deserts) which were empty and the ones that were there were warm not hot. What was there was tasty but disappointed none the less. Parents had pop which was flat and tasteless. Had drinks comped when we complained but still. Considering the buffet is supposed to be until 10 (we were there 7:30 till 8:15) we were not best pleased.

This was my 1st time at the restaurant. I was taken out by my PA and her family and my live in carer. I am a Disabled lady who depends on my mobility scooter to get me around the buffet. My PA hadn't explained this when making the booking.. I have to say that the staff couldn't do enough to accommodate me and my needs! As for the food. It has got to be the best Indian we've all had. Everything taste's so fresh, lot's of choice on the buffet and all different deserts. This experience wasn't what I expected. I have to say, credit where it's due, it was way above all off our expectations. The atmosphere was was was amazing. Again I have to thank the staff for going over and above for everyone, not just our party. I give this Indian 100% positive feedback. Not just for the things I've mentioned but when it comes to the cleanliness off the restaurant and friendliness of all staff.. We where all very interested 😁

The food was excellent and the peaple could not do any more to look after us. I can say that the food was some of the best Indian food I had had in some time and everyone had a meal they enjoyed. However, we arrived as the place opened and still waited over two hours to have our starter. Many other peaple who arrived after us had finished before we had our meal. Finally they got the billing all mixed up and tried to over charge by almost a hundred pounds. Once I worked out what they did wrong they quickly corrected the mistake.

Very tasty quality food and good service. This was my second visit to Maahis the first trip was excellent and I was not disappointed. The food was excellent, very fresh tasting and each dish was clearly seaparaly prepared (some restaurants you go to all the curries look and taste worrying similar). The meat was also was of good quality which isn't always the case. I opted for the naga which is my usual favourite and it was spicy and tasty as it should be. Portions a generous, so much so that they kindly wrapped up half to take with me. Everyone enjoyed their meals and would return. Staff were friendly and attentive despite being very busy. Only slight let down is the ambiance (former little chef) but this is more than made up for by the food. We visited on a sat night Well worth a visit, one of the best Indians in the area.

Great staff! They have the rare distinction of getting most every dish right and doing so with excellence. Many Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants get one or two things right. These guys nailed everything. The chickpea vegetable dishes (esp the one in red sauce) was exceptional. The Balti Garlic dishes were fantastic and the spicy Haag was to die for. The parathas were so buttery and tasty I could have eaten 3 more in one sitting (glad I didn’t), and we didn’t get naan, but I saw it and it also looked amazing. For a restaurant at a rest stop, this was truly a pleasant surprise!!
