Absolutely good choice. We walked through York without any plans for early dinner and we stopped because from the wide opened windows there could be heard lovely Italian music. Nothing can be better than theme atmosphere filled by themed music in the background. Food was top class. We had pizza and seabass with gnocchi. Wine recommended from the wine list, absolutely gorgeous and worthy of the price. Lovely and helpful staff. We will be back for sure!0

In York on Saturday in early April. It was heaving and we were turned away from a few eating places as they were full. Stumbled over this little gem and gave it a try. We were shown to a window seat which was great for people watching and within 10 minutes our drinks order was taken. Drinks arrived quickly and a meal order was taken at that point. Literally 10 minutes later we had the food. Amazing speedy service. I had the nacho chicken pizza which was lovely, not too filling and came with three dips for the Nacho's. My partner had the 4 cheese pizza which she enjoyed. Restaurant is nicely decorated and relaxed. Try to get a window seat if possible and watch the world go by. Staff were friendly and chatty. Bill came to £56 for two pizza's and 4 pints of Peroni.

The Pork Belly dish was superb - cooked (sous vide??) until the fat became a soft gelatinous layer, perfectly paired with an apple sauce. The kids menu dishes were also good. Many restaurants serve rubbish for their kids' meals. Not so for D'vine - the kids' hamburger was well-prepared and came topped with caramelised onions and cheese. The kids' bolognese was also delicious, with sauce that was competently cooked rather than from a cheap can. Service wise - impeccable. Prompt, efficient, courteous.

Very nice and reasonably priced food. Nice selection of beers (some bottled some on tap) Hands down the best olives I have had in a while. That is not to say the pizza wasn't also amazing as you cannot beat a real stonbaked pizza.

5 stars for food, 4.5 stars for hospitality. For future reference, please don't make guests feel uncomfortable by assuming they're not going to pay - Especially if they're black. Very nice restaurant, was shown a table downstairs but after sitting the manager asked if we preferred a seat upstairs which was much better, the food came out very quickly, a bit too quick and the scallops were not King scallops but very small and disappointing.

Second time visiting this restaurant for date night with my Mrs and again everything was absolutely perfect! The food was amazing and delicious and left our taste buds dancing, both starter and main were absolutely spot on and and all reasonably priced, in addition to this the staff were outstanding and went above and beyond to make our dining experience that much better! We were just a walk in and they were able to seat us, althought unfortunately, at a high table. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient. Food was really nice. I had a steak, wife had pasta and kids had chicken nuggets and a pizza. Chocolate brownies and ice cream were really nice and all portions were a good size. Would recommend this place.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food, although like most eateries in York it's overpriced, we both decided to opt for the 3 course special (£20) as there was enough on it that we liked, at the time we were in (3pm) we were it! Very quiet, except the music which began to get on my nerves ( volume wise) the staff were very attentive, but not intrusive. Drinks were reasonable, especially for a restaurant, don't know what it would be like when busy mind you, but still very satisfied.

Delicious food, friendly staff and chilled sophisticated atmosphere. We’ve ordered some small plates to share between us with my friend: creamy mussels, scallops, the rocket & Parmesan salad, the smoked salmon and the house salad. The Apple mojito was also a hit. It was so refreshing! For dessert, we went for a warm chocolate fondant served With vanilla ice cream which was cooked to perfection. (No pictures as we were too busy eating!)

We’ve never been let down by this place! We usually get the pizza, i believe there is a 2 for 1 deal (or something similar) on Tuesdays? The garlic bread is basically a whole pizza, and great value for money. On my last visit, we said it was my dad’s birthday, and they were kind enough to bring out a happy birthday brownie at the end of the meal! Only slight issue we’ve had is when we attended once in 2019 and they played one Demi Lovato CD on repeat for the whole visit, i think we heard it about three/four times over.

Nothing short of amazing! The staff have mastered the art of being attentive without overbearing - no being caught out with a mouthful of arancini when asked how everything is. And the food? Awesome. From the bread and olive oil to the rump steak. Every dish is presented immaculately and bursting with flavour. Brilliant place to go for my birthday. The staff looked after us well and the COVID practices within the restaurant made us feel safe. The service was so fast my food was waiting for me after a quick trip to the bathroom. The starters were so varied but we went for a meat plank which had delicious chunks of cheese as well. Then the pizzas were perfect with a nice stone baked bottom. I couldn't finish mine it was so big but I really tried because it was delicious. Their house white was great too. They even gave us a little shot for my birthday after the meal. Will definitely be returning!

Came here today for lunch with my girlfriend. For the most part the staff are friendly and super attentive but we were let down by one particular member who seemed completely uninterested. The place itself is very much wood themed which today looked dark despite the day being bright. They also must have had a Craig David playlist on however I actually quite enjoyed this. As for the food, our starters were the calamari which was lovely but the scallops were cold in the middle and were not cooked properly despite looking great. The mains on the other hand were cooked really well and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The bill came to about £40 which is neither here nor there considering it was two courses each and drinks. All in all a decent choice but I'd probably avoid seafood.

I dont leave reviews but on this occasion i feel like the service and food deserved my time to leave a review. We had a 3 course meal and every course was perfect. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sticky toffee pudding is to die for. Food is reasonably priced, drinks are a touch expensive but no complaints as the experience was fantastic. I went on a busy Saturday night with my partner and 6 month old baby. The staff did all they could to make us comfortable, they found us a suitable table to house the pram and sourced a high chair immediately giving us plenty of space to dine comfortably whilst managing a baby. Thank you so much for an amazing meal.

Lovely meal in good surroundings. The fact that they managed to get us a table for 8 although late was well appreciated. Had an amazing anniversary meal here! We were given complimentary glasses of prosecco after being seated, the decor was modern and spotless. Managed to get a walk in table on a bank holiday weekend. The staff were amazing! There was a table with a lot of loud drunk people and the staff asked them to quiet down every time they got a little too loud and had control of the situation even though it must have been very awkward to handle. I tell you what, as a last minute booking, well impressed. Even though they were rammed, service was great and the food was delectable. Had a sharing meat board and a few sides to go with, along with the cocktails it made a memorable night. Will visit here again in the near future!

Had a leaving do yesterday and it was absolutely brilliant. The service was awesome, manager very helpful and all the evening perfect. Only things which ruined our evening a little bit was couple complaining about our noise. Good chefs cooking decent food. Nicely presented, good selection of drinks, friendly staff. There is an open kitchen upstairs so you can watch them prepare the food and the whole ambience is good (and clean). I have been here twice and each time had a good meal. There are places that are better, but not that many and it's certaoinly perfect for a nice meal out at lunchtime.

First can I say the food, service was amazing. The only negative was I felt totally sorry for the management, they were verbally abused by customers who would not wear masks when queuing. Then 4 men came in very late for there reservation but would not listen to the manager and sat down, 💯 to the manager for trying his best . We came in last night Friday the 6th for the first time. We had an absolutely amazing evening, we were even happier to see our favourite DJ was now working there. The staff were all fab and efficient with any spillages particularly the young Dark haired (manager) that was on the steps near the DJ booth, he was very much on the ball, friendly and lovely. In the menu there was pasta with chicken and mashroom, I told the waitress that i don't eat meat and would like to have salmon instead of chicken, she went to double check with the chef if it's possible and he said yes. The dish was very good, the staff very polite and helpful. However, when the time to pay arrived there were 2 issues: The waitress charged me the price+3 GBP tip without even ask me if im willing to give a tip with my debit card, then she realised her mistake and gave me one pound back in cash, as i wanted to leave 2 GBP. She made me feel uncomfortable, like she did in purpose. Secondly, in the bill i was charged for salmon risotto instead of pasta with mashroom, i guess it's because I had a special request, so its totally understandable but the waitress should have mentioned in advance that its gonna cost me more money and to let me decide whether Im still interested to change the dish.

I came here last night for a meal with my work team. There was around 13/14 of us in total, we had pre booked the table about 1-2 weeks in advance, but when we arrived the staff seemed a bit unsure of the booking. For a small restaurant this was a relatively large booking for midweek and so they should/could have been more prepared. The table we were sat at was set up with some tables attached to a booth, consequently there was not enough space for all of us to sit, which meant some of us were a little squashed. If the staff had thought about it logically, the tables should have been set out with the running across the middle of the restaurant with a space for each of us to sit individually. We had 2 drinks menus for the whole group but a large stack of food menus, although we had already arranged what we were eating. There was no table service for the drinks, we had to go up to the bar, which for those of us squashed into the booth (myself included) made getting out difficult and inconvenient. The pizza I had was good, but not great. Certainly not good enough for me to return, especially with the lack of service we received. The staff received a relatively large tip from the whole group which some of us feel a little annoyed by, given that some of us don't think the service recieved warranted a tip.

This is a fantastic venue to share a bottle of wine,or book a table for a special occasion,the owner "Bora" who incidentally runs the lovely "Lucia's" restaurant,and York's other popular bar "Bora Bora" prides himself and his staff in excellent service. The staff are very warm, polite,very experienced and always courteous and willing to help. After 10 on Friday and weekend there's an in house DJ when the tables are removed. Highly recommend you pay this a visit as the food is exceptional,don't be fooled by the size downstairs,there is a larger dining area upstairs for bigger parties.

Struggling to give this place 3 stars. Ordered Caesar Salad with chicken and breadsticks (from a choice of breadsticks or focaccia) and a fish stew. Caesar salad arrived with plain bread (neither breadsticks nor focaccia) so told waitress. She shrugged and took dish away and returned with strips of pizza dough which we took to be breadsticks. Fish stew was quite tasty with sea bass, squid, prawns and a few mussels. Unfortunately one of the mussels was not open and had a crack in it. Told waitress it shouldn't have made it to the saucepan let alone the stew and asked her to tell the manager. Met with another shrug. End of meal manager came over with bill and didn't know of the issue we raised earlier. He acknowledged the problem but offered no apology. Ho hum guess that explains why it was nearly empty...
