Just recently changed hands and getting better .. Great young enthusiastic team offering fantastic service and fish & chips. Whilst dealing with pans down and managerial change they just keep smiling and serving .. A traditional chippy thriving in a period of transition... Cheap as chips as well ... Love it ...

In Boroughbridge for a long weekend. I had fish and chips, my partner scampi and chips, which she said was delicious. The fish I had was possibly the best I've ever had,and being originally from Yorkshire I've had a lot of nice fish and chips!

On a short break in Yorkshire and wanted to have traditional Yorkshire made fish and chips. Not disappointed. The fish was cooked to perfection with lovely crisp tasty batter and hot fresh chips. They don't do fish and chips like this down South.

We've just had some of the best fish and chips that we've had in a very long time from this establishment. Staff were extremely friendly, some excellent covid 19 restrictions were in place and everything we purchased was of high quality, hot and presented with pride. Nothing was a problem to the staff. Can highly recommend this establishment to others if you are looking for high quality fish, chips and the usual goods from such a shop.😃👍

Unfortunately they're hit and miss, if the lady is frying the are usually really nice. She is so friendly and always says hello. If the gentleman is frying I'd try and avoid, he never seems to want to be there and the batter is soggy on the inside and the last few times we've had them we have found 2 fish together which makes it grey and not as nice. Not as white and flaky as one chunky fish should be. There are always an abundance of chips which I like and cooked nicely. The main issue issue I have is with the fish which is the most important part.

The fish and chips are awesome and plentiful. Great value for money. I have to say though I get very anxious about ordering anything that is special order as the guy in the back gives off a look as though you are being inconvenient. I no longer order kids meals and just order a fish and chips for them to share. I will only order sausage if I can see them on display. Cant knock the food though.

After a long day round York, we popped in here as we didn't feel like cooking. The shop was clean, prices were reasonable, and the food was good. I knocked a star off because the chips weren't exactly hot, but the fish was spot on.
