A.Got the basic fish and chip combo; it was delicious! Crispy batter on the HUGE piece of fish and yummy hot chips, all of it made fresh. Friendly staff and great location as well, with nice seating areas upstairs where you can watch people go by on the street.

The fish was delicious not oily??, the chips were nicely cooked, friendly staff, nice dining room upstairs if you want to eat quietly.
L. C.Got myself some saveloy and chips, which is apparently more of a southern England thing, so I was pleased to find it here in York. The saveloy was decent, but I've definitely had better in the south. Chips were awesome! Great flavour and just as greasy as I wanted. Service was friendly and quick. Will definitely be going back to try their fish and chips.
S. S.Chip butty with cheese... I was offered the 'large' but could barely manage the regular size... So many chips had to eaten first before the butty proper could be put together... The chips were the perfect combination of crisp and fluffy with never a hint of too greasy... Sitting outside was the perfect complement to the food as its location in Church Street, York is perfect for people watching. A great food experience with really personable, friendly service. I can't think of a single negative thing to say... And why would I? Highly recommend. 😊
K. K.It was decent. Ordered a delivery about 3 minutes before close but they still made my order very quickly and it arrived quickly too. Food was a little too greasy mind, however I'm not going to complain as I did order a few minutes before close so I would understand if they were frustrated. That being said, food was good, again not amazing but a good fish and chips fix for sure :)
R. T.I visited today for my lunch and had gluten free fish, chips and mushy peas. The owner, who is also gluten free, served me and told me that the vinegar was gluten free also. I felt confident about my food being gluten free as I have coeliacs disease so it's important to me. The food was nice, fresh and very tasty. I enjoyed it.
T. D.My partner and I got fish and chips from here while visiting York on our anniversary. The staff were friendly, the place was clean and tidy and the food was delicious. We ordered the regular fish and chips which filled us up entirely! We loved it!!
