Very popular place; Service was top tier. We were welcomed and seated quickly. Asked for something slightly off menu which was accommodated easily and served also very quickly. Food was delicious, coffee was just right. I can see why the locals love it.

As on last reciept photo. Gorgeous brunch! Extreamly nice staff, very helpful. Had to wait outside to be seated for about 20mins, very popular and busy because it’s delicious! Generous portions, nice avocado, perfectly seasoned. Can’t fault anything really!

The coffee is great and the brownies are incredible. "Best brownies in the world" is what I tell everybody. The coffee shop itself is small, busy and no soft furnishings, so far too noisy for me, but I'm told the food is very good too.

Curious Pizza catered for our wedding evening do on 16 July 2022 and the pizza was amazing!! So many people have commented on how tasty the pizza was and there was a great range of options! Phil was great in the run up - always responsive to emails and really accommodating when our plans changed due to covid. Thank you for everything! Mr & Mrs Spencer xxx

Cafe in the pedestrian precinct. We need lunch to suit a gluten free and a dairy free diet. Very helpful server checking on ingredients, all food is made up fresh and they were willing to be flexible, substituting mayonnaise for the caesar sauce. My earl grey tea came in a cute cast iron teapot.

Beautiful coffee in the aeropress and some amazing food and milkshakes. Very patient with us and our messy small person. Really friendly and great service. Can say the scrambled eggs on toast my friends had looked amazing! 😋

The staff were well led and keen to please. If you enjoy an industrial chic and a friendly atmosphere then this will suit. However, I was disappointed without a full English breakfast and poached eggs that had been cooked too long so the yolks became hard boiled. Go for the avocado on toast vibe if it is your thing.

Great place to visit, dog friendly, indoor and outdoor seating. Often very busy so might need to wait for a table but queue time acceptable. Lovely home baking, especially their many flavours of brownies. Toilets and local street parking available. Pick up option on their app

We love it here. Really really great (proper!) coffee and delicious food. Relaxed friendly atmosphere. The staff have always been so accommodating and friendly with our toddler too. More recently I visited for a takeaway coffee and had an issue, the lady on the till was incredibly helpful and lovely. (Thank you!)

Went her whilst visiting my sister, lovely place and staff. Dog and baby friendly which is a bonus. My boyfriend said the beans on toast was the best he's had. The lovely lady serving us also help us with what to order for our daughter which we appreciated.

Went along after friends recommended the pizza night, really good find! Simple menu but at least you know everything is made fresh and quickly! We all had starters, mains and puds, and we were thoroughly stuffed by the end of it all. Pizzas were really tasty, super thing crust with the right proportion of topping. We'll be back for another pizza night, but also we'll be along to try the daytime menu too! Thanks for a top night.

Went there this morning for the first time and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful and made to feel very welcome. They recommended the raspberry and white chocolate brownie which was amazing. Also purchased was two amaretto latte and fruit scone which were also outstanding. Highly recommend a visit will be going back again!!!! ☺

Lovely coffee shop with great food and reasonable service. Although I’m not a dog owner I don’t mind them being allowed in but object extremely strongly when they are allowed to yap incessantly during their visit. Could they not have been asked to leave if they couldn’t keep the mut quiet. On top of this the mess the dog made with paper serviettes was unacceptable as well.

Lovely little coffee shop off the high street in Haxby. Staff during our visit (three of us including five year old girl) were helpful and didn't mind that the table was quickly covered in toys. Even took away some rubbish for us. Food came quickly and was great. Recommended.

Busy little cafe tucked away beside Sainsburys. Excellent standard of coffee and delicious brownies! The coffee actually came with a taster of the brownie even though we'd ordered some. Other cakes and food looked to be of a similar standard. Yum.

Best coffee shop in York with the very best staff We are very lucky in York to have some amazing coffee shops/cafes, but the Curious Coffee Co in Haxby is without doubt my absolute favourite. The coffee is superb and they do Cafetieres which is a huge bonus for me as its my favourite way to drink coffee. The staff are not just friendly they are fantastic and led by Sue who does an amazing job. They are fun, welcomng and this place has got such a fantastic vibe not to mention fabulous food. Treat yourself to mushrooms on toast. Sublime 😀 Or an absolutely devine cheese scone served with butter, cream cheese and chutney or a fruit scone served with butter, rhubarb and ginger preserve and clotted cream. And as if that wasnt enough you can take your dogs. Five star cafe with five star staff and five star food ⛧⛧⛧⛧⛧
