Just like the rest of the chain pubs in England. Wide range of food and drinks to choose from. Only downside is we had to wait about 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive at the table, there was only a few tables in the restaurant that were occupied and we had only ordered 2 cokes so I thought this was a little slow. Other than that, the food is nice and you get what you pay for.

We popped in here for an evening meal and a couple of drinks while staying at the premier inn. They have kids meal / menu options and there is a fair amount of choice on the main menu, although it's all a bit more pricey than I remember a beefeater pub being... perhaps it's been a while!! Staff seemed cheery and they were cleaning up tables fairly quickly. The main restaurant loos were not available, which meant that the bar toilets were only ones in use, which for a large restaurant / pub were not very big. Also a few options on the menu that were not available. When food came it was all fine, not spectacular but fine. I gave it an extra star as they had some nice cocktail options that the wife took full advantage of (what with only a small walk to do afterwards!)

Having sampled breakfast and dinner in here for the last week, the staff are really helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet catered for everyone, from fresh fruit, pastries and cereals all the way through to the full English. Dinner was spot on too, succulent steak through to tender and tasty chicken salads, something for everyone to enjoy. Indoor and Outdoor seating with plenty of parking too!

Ordered a salad. Not often these days you get a freshly chopped up salad that looks appetising rather than just tipped out of a bag. It was delicious. My granddaughter wolfed down the spaghetti bolognaise so that must have been good. Nice pub /restaurant with a friendly team. Shame some of the sofas and chairs in the bar area were so worn away.

Strange, already reviewed this but nevermind. I found the food here to be exemplary. The waiting staff understood my allergy and ensured I had no cross-contaminated cutlery, food and drinking vessels. This is the first time in all the times I have eaten out that the level of detail by the staff has been rigorously followed. I cannot thank you enough and will ensure that Premier Inn is where I stay when I go back to my home county. Respect to the Milfield, I tip my hat to you all.

We are regulars to Millfield, Sean and his team truly care about your experience. When we arrive we are quickly seated and drinks arrive, they remember our orders to. The staff are all very friendly and do make our weekly visit enjoyable.

Ate here recently, was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The menu was extensive, with something for everyone and the staff are very helpful. We were served by Charlie who went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He was polite, knew the menu and what to suggest and he regularly checked if we required anything during the meal. We'll definitely be back.

Awesome, just been for Christmas day dinner and it could not have been better, staff were quick, attentive, and friendly, perfect space between courses. Honestly can't recommend highly enough. We go out for Xmas Dinner every year and usually pay much much more than this but it has never been as good as today. Thank you all so much.

Really great service. The seating area is well laid out & securely social distanced. Staff were very helpful with our orders and made us feel welcomed. The restaurant has good opening times (one of the only places in this area opened later on a Sunday). Food isn't cheap but is great quality. Also has a nice seating area outside the building for warm days!

We stopped in the Premier Inn next door for a couple of days and naturally turned to the beefeater for our breakfast to start the day. We also called in for a few drinks for pleasure. The first visit we had was a very nice gentleman who welcomed and served us. Unfortunately the next day for our first breakfast we had a VERY disappointing manager/supervisor see us too our seats and really didn't welcome us at all. Luckily for the rest of our visit we had great host!. Mitch was brilliant, he made our weekend feel very welcoming and it was a pleasure to have met him. I also can't leave out the young lady who was possibly a supervisor/manager on the Monday morning who was a great host to ourselves. The whole weekend was made by the brilliance of Mitch. #Mitchformanager

I was quite disappointed with the food. I asked for my steak rare and when it came it was practically done. Then I had the warm chocolate brownie and when it came it was cold. Didn’t really enjoy my meal because of it.

I had a lovely experience dining at the Mill field Beefeater. Me and my wife came for an evening meal and enjoyed it thoroughly. Even with the covid restrictions the service was excellent it felt very safe and covid friendly. The steak we both had was very tasty and will definitely be having it again. Staff were lovely and only had a few chips and onion rings with a beer as late in the evening and already ate earlier. But we sat outside and was a bit disappointed to see behind me ant powder all over the wall and floor, I understand that it is attached to the hotel and needs to serve a purpose in its location but sorry felt a bit yuk. I know it is been a hard time but a bit of TLC would not hurt here.

This restaurant is a good size with plenty of socially isolated tables. Service is good with everything bring brought to the table. Had food from the main menu which unfortunately was only like warm two meals only warm and one ok. Also the same good is available on a lunchtime menu normally and is half the price of the main menu and portion sizes are the same so glad we got the meal deal only paying half.

Have recently stayed at the Premier Inn next door, both morning my family and I had our breakfasts at this restaurant. We were met by very friendly and warm staff nothing was to much for them. The restaurant was well set up for social distancing. There was plenty of choice whether you want porridge, cereal or full cooked, all the meals were served to our table we just had to get our own drinks and toast. Come the evening you can go in for either a great evening meal or just drinks, on this visit we done both, drinks one night meal the next. The staff here went above and beyond to not only make sure we enjoyed your meal or just drinks but also that we felt safe in this current climate.

My wife and I along with our daughter had lunch here (7/8/2021) absolutely excellent, miles better than the Pear Tree Farm at Monks Cross, although The Beefeater doesn't have the character and the charm of The Dormouse 15 minutes away, the food and the service at The Beefeater was without a doubt better than the other two mentioned venues. I would just like to add in all the places we have visited around York and other areas in this country, The Beefeaters toilets are the cleanest we have ever had the pleasure of using, we would definitely recommend and would return without hesitation!

The Beefeater Millfield is a great place to eat. It's attached to the Premier Inn Hotel here and they do deals for food. We chose a deal where you pre-pay for 2 courses of food (either starter and main or main and dessert). The deal was great value for money and after looking at the normal menu the prices aren't bad at all. A kids meal with dessert was under £6. The portion sizes are generous, both nights we were able to share mains for 2 adults with one 5 year old and still had food to spare. The staff are really helpful and cheerful. They are busy and you can tell they have a lot to do with the number of the staff there but it doesn't stop them being really helpful and accommodating. Food was really nice too, the bacon cheeseburger was lovely and the chicken goujons were nice and great for kids. All round, nice food, great service and would recommend.

Went in for tea on a reasonably quiet Tuesday teatime. Smothered chicken lovely, paprika chicken and plain burger likewise very tasty. Portions weren't huge, but we're good value using the 40% off voucher. Sean the waiter was a star. Very courteous and with an uncanny ability to remember the whole order, starters mains and drinks without writing anything down. The whole restaurant felt warm and welcoming which is impressive given the size of the place.

We always stay here at this time of year and find the service excellent. I ordered the mixed grill, it was huge but very tasty. Plenty of seating for u to relax in later. They are extending the hotel at the moment so the car park is a bit busy but it's OK. The hotel is on the outskirts of York so it's in a good position for all major roads. We waited a while to be seated and no one attended to us for a while. We decided to ask at the bar if we could eat in the pub area which suited us better anyway. The young gentleman at the bar was very helpful. Once we ate our starter it took ages before it got taken away again because the bar was busy so I was worried it would be a long time before we got our mains, but when the young barman took our plates away he let us know he already called it in the kitchen and we got our main promptly. He was really professional and attentive. The salmon was very nicely cooked with a crisp skin and everything tasted fresh and delicious.

I ate here while staying at the attached hotel (Premier Inn) for a week, the burgers are good, not at all like the bouncy grey meat mess you get in some chains. We stayed at the attached premier inn on a recent trip to York. We arrived on Mothering Sunday and were very lucky that the restaurant managed to squeeze us in as they were turning people away. I had a prawn cocktail to start which was nice and my wife had loaded potato skins which tasted nice and were hot but they came out with the wrong dip! The mains were disappointing though. I had a steak which was cooked correctly (rare) but it was cold, as were the chips and everything else on the plate. Thankfully the beer sauce was warm so it wasn't too bad. My wife had the mozzarella stuffed chicken wrapped in parma ham which was inedible, the cheese was extremely oily and the chicken was dry and tasteless. Again her chips and accompaniments were all cold. For breakfast things improved, the hot buffet was indeed hot and the fried eggs still had runny yolks. There were times when they ran out of hash Browns and beans but never for very long. They had plenty of pastries out and sufficient drinks. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Price wise it wasn't too bad as we used the premier inns dinner and breakfast deal. Overall a bit disappointing and certainly not as good as other beefeaters that we've eaten at.

Attached to the Premier Inn located in an industrial estate, this is most likely where you'll eat your evening meal. It's fare (same as all Beefeater restaurants) with a good variety of option, and a rather limited range of keg ales and wines. The ambience is quiet, understated and professional. Perfect for families and individuals alike. What stood out at this Beefeater was the exceptionally friendly service we had throughout the dining experience. I don't know if that's a Yorkshire trait, but I'd thoroughly recommend it for that!

Went with a larger party for a birthday, so can understand the kitchen having a mad rush on but waiting over an hour for food when the restaurant wasn't packed in the slightest was a bit of a joke. The food was decent when it finally came but by that point I was three drinks in and could have been served anything and I'd have scoffed it.

We only had a very limited time to eat a rather late Sunday lunch when we found The Millfield. The staff were almost over attentive, but with good humour. The food did take slightly longer than I would expect from a Beefeater but I can honestly say that when it came it was the most enjoyable meals we have had in any of these "chain" type restaurants. In fact the Sirloin was one of the best ever! Bottomless drinks were topped up continuously and extra sauces offered and supplied quickly. There were no comments when we "ate and ran" paying the bill before all had finished as we had to be somewhere else. An excellent Beefeater and we will definitely go again.

After trying a beef pie (which contained maybe 4 small pieces of meat), and a vegetarian lasagne (supposed to be feta cheese and sweet potato - no sign of either, and very thick pasta sheets which were horrid), and a chicken and bacon sandwich (water pumped chicken, ok apart from that) I would not try any other meal option again after having a burger. Both the double cheese and bacon burger, the pulled pork burger and the regular burger from the daytime £5 menu were all incredibly good. Definitely recommend. I haven't tried steak, and I'd hope they'd get that right. If in doubt, just eat beef. The clue is in the name!!!

Typical nice chain pub, friendly staff, perhaps erring on the side of too friendly, whereby it almost felt appropriate to offer one of the waiting staff a seat at our table. The friendliness was not unwelcome, however towards the end of our visit it felt a little intrusive, for want of a better word.

My wife had the fillet steak, this being her favourite choice of beef. It arrived and she tried hard to cut it. It was stringy,and only way to cut it was to shred it. She gave up and we complained.we were offered and took the offer for replacement. After 20 mins ,the next one was just the same ,...she struggled with it, and after eating half of it gave up. On leaving she again complained, saying this was the worst ' fillet' ever. She got an apology, but this was an expensive meal @ £20 ......disgusting It is usually possible to cut it like knife through butter !
