There's something about just taking a seat on some random furniture in the middle of a bustling market, in a historic city and enjoying some brilliant food. The folks who run this place are just brilliant, such a laugh and you can see the passion in their work, they really love doing what they do. If you find yourself in the Shambles Markets, take a look for this place, there's usually a queue so that speaks for itself but go and try this stuff out. Wishing you folks the best of luck with your business, you're a brilliant addition!

Such a wonderful experience. Not only were the Chicken Parmo loaded fries absolutely delicious, but the staff were extremely friendly. Generous portions and outside dining. Other half had the Dirty Swine loaded fries and ate them all. Small is plenty for one person.

Food is amazing! A big buffalo burger full with pastrami. The chilli cheese fries are amazing, feels exactly like Texas; more beef than fries. Outstanding , ooh and the guy is also very nice!

Myself and my partner ordered some large Katsu fries thinking it'd be an ideal size for a snack for two people. We were handed a huge portion of fries with the crispiest chicken on top, Katsu curry sauce, sesame seeds and crispy onions. We couldn't finish the portion between two of us it was that big but we gave it a good go! Definitely worth the money and we'll be back again next time we're in York to try the other fries.

This has got to be, hands down, some of the best food I've ever eaten. Absolutely stunning and the portions are beyond humongous... wonderful staff and a great vibe. Do NOT try and do the large portion to yourself... you will fail ha ha I recommend the Dirty Swine or the Chicken Parmo. 10/10

This place is amazing. The team are really friendly and welcoming, and the food is outstanding. We chose the large Katsu Chicken loaded fries. The portion was enough food for 4 people (there were only 2 of us), and the price was so reasonable at just a tenner. The location in Shambles Market means you can watch the world go by whilst you enjoy your food. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

We visited today, thought we would just get a little snack before dinner in 3 or so hours time. Ordered the large pizza fries figuring all places kinda rip you off (usually larges could pass as a small in my experience) and that would be good. It was massive, somehow we did end up managing it between 2 of us. It was excellent value for money and really tasty too. Service was also great.

Really enjoyed the food truck in shambles market. (Ended up here thanks to Sorted Food.)Had the Katsu fries, and they were incredible. Well cooked crispy chicken, delicious spicy curry. I should however note my wife and I ordered a "large" to share. Large is not the right word. Heroic, gargantuan, epic all seem good choices. We were not in the least up to the task. Our goal was to eat enough of the portion so we could successfully close the lid of the box, which we managed and no more.

Hands done one of the best street food vans I have ever been to. We had the buffalo wing topped chips for lunch and they were so good that we even decided to order from their for dinner later in the day. We even went back again for lunch the next day becuase their food was that good! If you have to try one food place at the shambles Market. It has to be this place!

OBSESSED. Christian catered the evening food for our wedding and honestly, I can't think of enough positive things to say. All our guests raved about it - we had friends from America who said it was the best Buffalo they'd ever tasted! We come to Taylor Made at Shambles Market regularly and it's divine every time. Highly recommended! Nicely laid out seating area and a really cool food truck aesthetic caught the eye. Same with the menu, where I really thought I’d be getting a Cajun-chicken burrito, but as I got to ordering I saw a pic of the Katsu chicken chips and my mind was changed! Foolishly I ordered a large portion thinking I could handle it, and after a short wait my order was handed to me. It felt like a literal kilo of food, and it smelled divine! Everything from presentation, down to taste and texture was just perfect! Price was very reasonable given the size of the meal (which meant a generous amount of left overs for dinner). Can’t wait to come back again and actually try the burritos (or probably just get the chicken katsu chips again, tbh)! Hope they’ll open up in London one day!!

Best takeaway in York, and I don’t say that lightly. If you are going to collect, I would suggest pre-ordering from their website (saves you time waiting, they can get quite busy). I have ordered from here many times, and every-time the staff are very nice and accommodating. The one time I had to wait maybe 10 minutes even though I pre-ordered, the owner gave my group complimentary drinks to say sorry. The meat in the burgers is always juicy, and perfectly cooked (we normally get the Hello-me burger). My friends love their topped fries, and I always go for the mac n cheese (vegetarian, because I’m not a chorizo fan). The mac n cheese sauce is amazing, the black garlic pesto addition is superb and I cannot replicate it at home, though I have tried. Can sometimes end up with clumps of spinach though, which is not ideal, but I eat around it. It is even good cold, for leftovers. And, believe me, there will be leftovers, because the portions are insane. If you think it looks a little expensive for a small, the small is basically a normal person’s large.

Our 'go to' place when visiting York, we have tried nearly all the dishes (including most of the weekly specials) and have never been disappointed. It staggers me that people choose the fast food chains when this quality and value is on offer, with great customer service too. The food looks like it does in the photos, is cooked fresh with fantastic ingredients, creativity and skill. The burgers are amazing, there's even a vegetarian option, the loaded fries are great... in fact you just need to go try it. Many dishes have 2 size options too if you're into a sharing option with family or friends.

This place is fantastic. I moved to York for this past school year and I had my first lunch here with my mum back in September, and we loved it so much that we went every time she visited the city. When more friends came to visit, I always brought them here and, up to this day, they still tell me they miss the pizza fries. The portion sizes are extremely generous and the prices are also great!

Absolutely amazing, the loaded fries where on a new level. My experience with loaded fries are chips with a little cheese and maybe a bit of something else. These loaded fries are insane. Not only are the flavours well balanced and spot on, the boxes where overflowing! Just what loaded fries should be!

The Ruben Pinky Burger. Oh my days. This food is made by a man who truly loves food and wants to satisfy his own tastes. It's this philosophy that makes for some truly outstanding innovative comfort food. Warning, portions are massive (they warm up great the next day though). My other faves are the buffalo fries and the chilli fries.

Food was delicious, the chef was extremely helpful and friendly as I’m new to being gluten-free I asked what foods were gluten-free, got the pizza topped fries with bacon instead of pepperoni, there was chopped up tomato’s in the dish, absolutely beautiful! The portion was massive! Well worth the price as you get a lot of food and the dishes look like the chef used high quality ingredients! My boyfriend got the pink brioche bun burger with cheese, lettuce and tomatoes, it was cooked perfectly as he likes his steak rare. Absolutely beautiful! Thankyou for the beautiful food!

WOW just WOW!!! I have wanted to eat here for a while and it did not disappoint. I had the Mac n Cheese and it was the best I have ever had.
