Bloomfield and all the staff have been absolutely amazing in every respect! Father in law has been so wonderfully cared for and looked after and we are always welcomed into a really warm and friendly environment. Thank you to everyone for making this difficult time so much easier.

I’ve been going into Bloomfield’s memory lane for the last few years and singing songs to the residents almost weekly. It is with utter confidence that I can say I firmly believe the residents in this home are in the safest hands of the most wonderful collection of nurses you could hope for. I’ve been into many homes but there are so few where the nurses show such enthusiasm and genuine joy in motivating the residents into being involved in the musical moment we try to generate. We’ve had dancing and everyone singing in full voice on more than one occasion, in fact, it’s almost routine. And I believe this makes such a huge difference to the well-being of the residents. Over my time attending the home I have had the fortune to genuinely observe what I believe is a brilliant collection of women who care deeply about the people they’re there for. Nursing homes , especially dementia wards, aren’t always somewhere you can be overjoyed to visit however, I have routinely felt that if my last years were spent at Bloomfield, then it wouldn’t be such a bad way to see out my renaissance years - if nothing else, the fact that this home has privately employed me for so long on a weekly basis to come In and uplift the residents with music, SHOWS the level of dedication and compassion they have. They recognise the value of music for people with dementia (and all people) and throw themselves fully into embracing the level of healing and euphoric energy I dedicate myself to generating. My wife suffers from late-stage Alzheimer's and is in the dementia wing of the care home. Her carers are wonderfully kind, caring and remarkably patient with her. My wife has responded to their kindness and although generally, her speech is incoherent she will have lucid moments and comes out with phrases such as 'I do like it here'. This is further evidenced by her smiles when she is with her carers and her compliance with their prompts. Before she entered Bloomfield her Alzheimer's had made her increasingly angry and non-compliant but within a few weeks of being there that anger had evaporated and she reverted to the kind and loving girl I married 43 years ago. My visits have become times of precious memorable moments that I treasure. The staff look after her physical needs well; she is always clean, hair done and well dressed. I am so pleased that I found such a wonderful care home.

I have visited the home on numerous occasions and I have always been welcomed straight away. The reception area is lovely, tidy and very welcoming. The residents seem very happy and the staff seem friendly.

Caring and well maintained building and staff. Seems to have all the essential parts in order. But those features and parts are all up to scratch. Seeing transormation of the nervous to later engaged and fun loving dispite the knowing that the end approches, happiness seems to dominate the otherwise depressive nature. Recommended.
