C. W.Abberton Manor is an exceptional care home with a wonderful and accepting staff. They go the extra mile to look out for their residents! The Manor itself is beautifully looked after and the grounds and scenery are astounding! Having worked as a carer previously (though not at Abberton) I could see that great care was taken in all interactions with the residents and they seemed exceedingly happy. They knew the carers well and it was clear that they had established a deep level of trust! The team at Abberton Manor acted as a fantastic team whilst I was there and worked together brilliantly!
h. k.My wife spent just over 7 months at Abberton Manor whilst terminally ill with cancer, she was younger than you might expect and completely lucid, the staff were wonderful, many became her friends within the limits of their duties. The food was very good and she especially liked the fact that if she did not want what was on the menu she could request something else and it would be provided. When she reached her last days her passing was made peaceful and pain free. I would strongly recommend Abberton Manor.
J. N.Abberton Manor is a truly wonderful care home. It is set in the countryside yet it is a short drive from Colchester town. The tranquil grounds are stunning as is the building. The management and staff are extremely pleasant, kind and genuinely caring. The range of activities arranged for the residents is vast and varied. The residents are encouraged to bring belongings to personalise their own rooms. Abberton Manor has a fabulous Facebook page which is regularly updated so you can keep in touch with current events. The photos say it all as you can see the joy on the faces of the residents! If you are considering a care home for your loved one, this is definitely one to watch.

Very comfortable home, wonderful surroundings and beautiful gardens. The staff could not be more caring and helpful. A really lovely care home in the true sense of the words.
