Reviews of Colonia Court Care Home - Bupa

All I can say is that my father was here in one of the residential house for 2 and a half years. He sadly passed in 2017. During his stay there he had excellent care. Staff were wonderful, they were very compassionate to me as well when my father nearing the end. I do have a small grudge that is the rooms are not that big but my father stayed in the communal lounge mostly and there could be an ensuite shower in each room. Of course end of the day it's a business for Bupa but the care home itself did as much as possible.
For Michelle Smith, there were definitely more staff then, are you saying there are only 3 staff for the whole day for 30 people. May be you are confusing for the night time. They only had 3 staff for the night duty that's quite normal for a resident place. If you mum or friend is not hapoy surely she doesn't have to stay there. besides you can put a camera in her room or any other monitoring device with her. My father used to say that he didn't get washed well and other minor things. So monitored him don't want to say how but I did and he was just saying because he wasn't happy to be in care. He wanted to go back to his bungalow and he thought he will say these things to make me take him back. That would be my advice for you to see if your dear mum just saying those things because she truly doesn't want to be in a care home, if she is still unhappy then you can monitor for dementia or depression.

Couldn't find fault with the place, the staff really seemed to genuinely care and attended very quickly when called, most Importantly tho the resident I visited was happy there and even liked the food! left feeling very relieved,
