My partner Max and I both thoroughly enjoy our monthly visits to Harper Fields Care Home, delivering our Creative Mojo Arts & Crafts workshops. Sharon and the team are always so warm and friendly, and the residents that we work with are amazing, with a great sense of fun. We sing and have a laugh while creating fantastic artwork. This is a fabulous Barchester home, and we're already looking forward to the next creative workshop :-)

I am a regular singing entertainer at Harper Fields. What a wonderful place to perform at. The activities team are really enthusiastic and are most welcoming along with the rest of the staff. The residents are very well turned out and are a delight to entertain. They all appear so happy in their surroundings. I look forward to performing there again. Barry Styles 🎶

We recently came to the home to have a look around. We were greeted by Trish who was our guide.
Trish was very warm and inviting while maintaining a high level of professionalism. She was extremely knowledgeable and answered any questions that we had. Trish put our minds at rest immediately. So grateful to have been so looked after so well. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I recently visited a friend in Harper Fields. There was a warm welcome from the home manager and her colleagues. We were offered refreshments and made to feel really welcome.
The home was well maintained appearing clean and free of unpleasant smells.
Those living in the home appeared engaged and well kept.
My friend said it was the best decision ever to move into Harper Fields.

I have been working at Harper Fields as a contractor and have visited 3 times in 9 months.
What a lovely and friendly environment. The staff are happy to help, polite and interacted with me during my time there.
Trish in particular was a joy, such a lovely person Can't wait to come back next year and enjoy a sandwich and coffee.
Thanks again

Lovely staff, nice communal areas. Visitors can make a drink or pay to have lunch with a resident they are visiting. The residential rooms looked really nice (though our relative did not end up in there).
The down side is that the nursing rooms look much more worn and are not to the same standard as the residential side.
The food on offer wasn’t as good as it should be. Eg. Our relative had omelette and wedges for one meal and another was fish fingers and beans. These aren’t the kind of food we expected her to be provided and they aren’t the kind of thing she would have wanted to eat. In my opinion you can’t call those things a meal. This is especially a concern when our relative was deemed to be at risk of malnutrition.
Also an issue that even though nursing care is supposed to be provided, they did not provide actual nursing interventions (such as fitting a cannula or catheter).
Our relative was always very thirsty when we arrived. We weren’t convinced she was being offered water often.
For the cost this care provider charges, the level of care was expected to be better. I wouldn’t recommend this place unfortunately.

I am A learning Coach for a Training provider that delivers Apprenticeships to care staff.
When I visit Harper fields I am always made welcome by the staff.
The residents always seem happy when I have been at the home and the staff always interact well with the residents.
The floor I visited on 17th November was calm and seemed to be well lead.
The home has a lovely Café area open to residents, visitors and families.
Harper fields seems to have good staff and are supported by the senior care staff, nurses and their manager.
The manager invests time with her staff and has an open door policy to them if they have any problems with residents or their own wellbeing.
I look forward to my visits to Harper fields.

I came to play harp for Sharon and the residents as part of the Jubilee weekend. The staff were great and helpful with me but more importantly the residents seemed happy and really well looked after. It was a lovely event and great to see such an engaged team.

I’m a student nurse and had my placement in Harper fields care home, the care home is one of the best that I’ve been in, the staff are amazing, they are really passionate about their work and they’ll do their best to make the patient feel valued and comfortable in the home. The nurses Ramona and Dee are amazing to work with♥️. 💯 recommend the place ♥️♥️

I finish working with the wonderful people at Harper Fields at the end of this year & just wanted to say thank you for making me so welcome & part of your team. Hayley the Manager and all the team are so caring and friendly, they are full of passion for their residents and every day I visit there is such a warm welcoming atmosphere. The activities at the home are amazing, they love to create laughter, smiles and well-being for as many residents as they can every day, they have boundless energy.

We want to thank the wonderful staff (General Manager, Hayley Wilkinson, Head Chef, Marcin Stepisiewicz, Activities Co-ordinator, Susan McIntosh, Administration Manager, Zakkiya Khan and Maintenance assistant, Wayne Field) at Harper Fields Care Home who brought handmade cupcakes and a beautifully decorated birthday cake for TASC, The Ambulance Staff Charity to help us celebrate our 5th Birthday. This was a wonderful gesture to thank the Ambulance staff for all their hard work and dedication during these unprecedented times and we really appreciated it. Thank you to all the residents for their lovely messages of gratitude.

🎩’s off , applause 👏 , and that’s for wearing a mask all day.
The lovely ladies K. D. R. J. P. S. And all the other staff are absolutely fantastic. I see them everyday and everybody makes me feel welcome, nothing is to much trouble, and I know they look after my mom as well as the other residents at all times, they are a credit to the company.
The home is lovely it’s the staff that make it special.
So take a bow ladies you deserve it, well done, as good as it gets.

Really enjoyed my visit to Harper Fields Care Home recently to deliver a Seated Circle Dance session for the residents. The staff were so welcoming and created a lovely environment, joining in with the dance and music making. A lot of fun was had by all. I look forward to my next visit.

My mum has lived at Harper Fields for nearly two years now. Care has been excellent throughout this time, staff are wonderful in their caring and professional manner. Harper Fields went over and above anything I could have asked of them in organising an amazing 103rd birthday party for my mum this year - thank you particularly to Sharon, the Entertainment Manager. They have done everything they can to facilitate visiting during this most challenging year and the new visiting room is wonderful.

My mother went to Harper Fields Care Home when we needed emergency respite on an urgent basis. The staff pulled out all of the stops to get her into the home the same day and picked her up within an hour and a half of my phone call requesting help having done a full assessment over the phone. They arranged to pick her up in their transport, in her wheelchair and my sister went with her and I followed on. We were allowed to go in and settle her in her room (all precautions taken due to Covid-19) and left her having a cup of tea and a sandwich despite meal times having finished a while ago. Mum, and we, were treated in a friendly and compassionate way, and with the utmost respect. The home was beautifully presented with the room Mum went into being light and airy and looking like a brand new hotel room. The bed could be lowered for safety and also had rails if required. The en-suite bathroom was large, bright and spotlessly clean with aids to help with showering and toileting. The carpet was brand new.
This is the first time Mum has been away from home and it was a very positive, if emotional, experience.
The staff were extremely attentive and kind and spoke to Mum in a very caring way. We were given telephone updates every day as to her well being, what she had been up to, and what she had eaten etc.
Unfortunately the journey to this home was along country lanes with no footpath which would have been too dangerous for Dad to visit her on his mobility scooter otherwise we would have definitely made this her permanent home. Highly, highly recommend.

What a fantastic bunch of people, both residents and staff. My second visit as an entertainer was for Remembrance week with my 40s show, an absolute pleasure to perform there. Such a happy, caring place..the staff work tirelessly and I look forward to returning there very soon.
A massive thank you to everyone concerned.

I have been visiting Harper Fields for the last six years, in my capacity as an Holistic Massage Therapist. The wonderful residents are cared for and very much loved by a dedicated team of staff, who treat them with great kindness, respect and dignity. Residents are encouraged to participate in a wide range of interesting, engaging and fun activities and outings, which obviously bring them great joy. The desire to make residents' quality of life the best it can be is a priority. The nursing care is of the highest standard and residents are treated with great compassion and understanding.

We moved my father here in early Dec 2018 after a bad experience with nursing homes. We are thankful we found Harper’s Fields! The staff are very kind and helpful, they genuinely care about my Dad. The facilities are lovely with a very homely and a welcoming atmosphere.
My father is very happy there.

My parents received the kindest and most exceptional care in Harper Fields. My Dad passed away there on an end of life plan and I feel blessed that so many wonderful people were there to care for him. I can't praise the Home and the staff enough.

My Name is Rachel, and I am a volunteer here at Harper Fields. I really enjoy coming here, and doing the work, I also enjoy being with the staff and residents here. We do activities every Tuesday, morning and Friday morning. We sometimes have singers here in the afternoon as well. Sharon is my boss, and I really appreciate everything she does for me. She’s very understanding, and caring and we have a good working relationship. I hope I can carry on coming here in the future.

On my recent visit to Harper Fields- Barchester , I found the care home to be of an Exceptional standard, the residents all seem really happy, the staff were all friendly as this my first visit, Sharon the Activities Coordinator showed me to the room that I would be entertaining/ singing , both Sharon and the care staff got the residents up for a dance, and a lot of the residents were singing as I sing songs from different eras, I would have no problem recommending this care home, it was brilliant, Gaynor
