T. S.I volunteer for Good Neighbours and befriend people, I use the Earlsdon Park Village Cafe/Bristo to meet and share a coffee with clients.
The place is clean, staff friendly, coffee fresh and hot.
M. S.A large complex in Earlsdon near centre of Coventry. Offers independent living with very small immediate green space. Bistro food greatly improved which has helped to bring a friendly atmosphere to gather in.
Has on site shop hairdresser gym etc.

A. B.This must be one of the top open park spaces in the country. It is very large with a great children's play area, plenty of sports and a perimeter track that can be walked or children cycle round. It is very large and has an impressive war memorial well worth a visit.

Can't Believe All These Years Ago This Was Wasteground
T. W.I visited my friend Heather (1 bedroom flat) and her mum Jean (2 bedroom flat) over the new year. I was amazed at the good size and layout of the rooms. The facilities were many and varied; I even helped complete a jigsaw in the library room. There are many built in extras which aid independent living eg easy turn taps, large light switches, and wider doors. The huge windows allow a great source of natural light. The whole building was extremely clean and well cared for, either when using the stairs or lifts. To be able for my friends to use their mobility scooters from the street, via the lifts, to their flats was ideal.
Having a Bistro on site, was excellent for those who prefer not to dine alone, but wish to join others to eat. The food was good quality.
To have a gym, hairdressers and wellbeing department is excellent. Even the potting shed for those who miss their gardens.
I was pleased to see the Billiard room, a place to play table tennis, craft and wood/metalwork areas. Well done for providing those.
Only one thing which, I think, would enhance the welfare of the residents is a swimming pool. Many people with time on their hands could enjoy this mode of exercise. Hull Healthy Living Centre even has its own Hydrotherapy pool. Worth a thought, eh?
I wasn't born or have ever lived in Coventry, so I was pleased to see that 'your' Village could not be purchased by outsiders who might be out to 'buy up' the properties and make huge profits.
It's a shame there are not similar ventures in our neck of the woods.
It was a most enjoyable stay being within walking distance of the main shopping malls etc. I was able to appreciate the architecture and history of Coventry, even though the Cathedral was closed to visitors on the day I attended. They were holding a Rave for the community. It was a great event for everyone, I am sure.

J. W.Beautiful place. Good quality finish to rooms. Residents whom I have met seem happy. The maintenance and rental prices for those who own a part share of a flat are huge.
