m. S.My mum Mary is currently living at Parkland View and has been for the last nearly 4years. She is excellently looked after by the Carers and Derby Homes staff. I cannot thank them enough because with this Corona outbreak these are the only people she sees. Mary has Alzheimers but trusts these people she thinks of as friends. Thank you all at Parkland View
E.Building seems OK but upper floors get very hot even on cooler days and windows have I safety wire on them so there is a limit to how wide they can be opened. Apartments seems good sizes and the lay is nice. As regards to staff - average- can't say they go the extra mile guess it's just a job at the end of the day to some.
l. s.My mum and dad live in the extra care facility only due to the fact my mum is disable and my dad needs some help now and again as i myself have health issues the staff are fabulous and always there if the family needs any thing too. I booked a surprise party for my mum and dad's 50th wedding anniversary and I can't thank them enough for all their help and support.. parkland view is a beautiful place to live..you have ur own 2 bed flat .there is a shop,cafe,computer room,hair dressers, chropadist, plenty of activities and staffed 24 hrs a day and a call button system for residents if the need help .
P. M.Nice, clean, friendly and safe, you can"t get to the apartments without a tag. Plus every time I arrive I find a wonderfully happy looking bunch of old folk chatting away in the lobby. Much better than rattling around an empty house alone for the rest of their days. It even has its own shop, restaurant and so on. The only thing it lacks is destination chargers for visitors to charge their cars after a long trip and Derby already way behind everywhere else on EV/PHEV chargers. So fitting a few would make visiting much easier.
A. S.I've only visited via my job. However it always looks clean inside, you cannot get in any door without a security code, or being buzzed in. Car parking at back
