My Grandad spent just under 3 years in the care of this wonderful carehome. The staff were amazing with him and delivered the highest level of care throughout his journey. The home has recently had a refurbishment and modernisation, which has created a relaxing home like aptnosphere.
Our family have never had any issues and we're always kept in the loop. We would highly recommend this carehome for anyone embarking on the next chapter in their life.

Visit a friend regularly. The staff are kind and friendly and very busy. The Care Home is clean and tidy and secure. Management are good there too. They all have very difficult jobs seeing to their patients.

My grandmother has recently moved into this home. The manager came and assessed my grandmother, he was fantastic, very friendly and talked us through the whole process and made a stressful situation very stress free. My grandmother and the family all love this home. Very clean and modern with superb food and even a wine service in the evenings. My grandmother loves this! Staff are all lovely and there is plenty of staff to look after my grandmother. Thank-you to the manager and his team for doing a great job and giving us peace of mind knowing my grandmother is so well looked after.

My Dad was cared for exceptionally well in Victoria Manor. Sax Coburg House. Every person either nurse or care worker were very helpful . Nothing was ever too much trouble. The meals are all home cooked and my Dad loved his food and continuous cups of tea. I would not hesitate recommending Victoria Manor to others. Brilliant and well done to all who made my Dads last days cared for and comfortable.

When my father was taken ill I was faced with the urgent need to find emergency respite care for my mother. She is 87, has dementia, and has never been away from my father.
This is not a situation anyone wants to find themselves in.
The social work department came up with a vacancy in Victoria Manor, in the Balmoral Unit. This turned out to be the best thing that could have happened. This was Mum’s/my experience:
The staff were lovely. They were kind, patient and showed humour and fun. They appear to enjoy their work. They made Mum feel very at home from the start, greeting her by name, helping her with crosswords, escorting her to the next meal. All the staff were this good. This is always led from the top so I conclude that the place is well run and well managed.
The food was fantastic. At home Mum eats like a sparrow but in Victoria Manor she was tucking in heartily. Every meal I saw looked tasty and well presented, and smelled delicious. The food was certainly enjoyed.
Victoria Manor is a very well-designed building. Altogether it is large, but you never get the impression of being in a large place. All corridors are short and the public area is divided into lounge / conservatory / dining room. It is light and airy and gives the impression of plenty space, without feeling you are rattling about in an enormous cavern. The temperature control / aircon is perfect; it is never stiflingly hot, and never chilly, just very comfortable. The bedrooms are pleasant and comfortable and functional, with en suite toilets. Mum was convinced she was in a hotel in Spain and I could see the resemblance.
Victoria Manor is spotlessly clean. Any scent in the air is of recently used cleaning products, or appetising food smells. There is always someone cleaning.
The lounge area always has staff present, and by that I don’t mean they are hanging about looking bored but they are actively THERE for residents. They are always busy having a cheery word, offering some help and generally keeping an eye on things. I spent some time in the lounge playing cards with Mum and was able to observe the atmosphere. It is neither noisy not deathly quiet but there is a gentle quiet buzz, giving it a homely relaxed feel.
Mum spent nearly 6 weeks here. All in all, I could not have been more impressed, and I thank the staff for helping us through an extremely difficult time.

My dad was in Victoria Manor ,the dementia unit, all the care staff ,domestic and nurses were all very good with my dad, the unit was nice inside with everyone having there own door, room was a good size. The living room area is big so if residents are sitting watching tv or listening to music, they can see whats going on . The garden outside is lovely if you want to take your loved ones out for a walk. The carers and nurses were all nice and always told us if there was any changes with my dad.My dad was happy here ,so made me happy .Id recommend this unit for people who have dementia /alhziemers .
