I attended a MacMillan event here last week with my husband. My mother-in-law is a resident and she was so looking forward to going along and invited us to go with her. All 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed it and it looked to be a well attended occasion. The staff had set up a whole load of cakes and they served tea and coffee. There was also a singer booked and she was also great, playing to her audience. The staff got those who could up to dance and even those who could not were enjoying the entertainment. I have to commend the staff for their enthusiasm and hard work in putting on what was an extremely enjoyable few hours and something that my mother-in-law will talk about for a long time.

We were shown around Four Hills on a Thursday and my mother in law moved in the following Tuesday. Annie and Lesley were very welcoming, helpful, super positive and enthusiastic and made us feel reassured as did Lesley, the head of care. All the staff are friendly, attentive and from what we've seen so far, very efficient. Highly recommended.

My husband, who has vascular dementia, vascular Parkinsonism and “brittle” Type
1 diabetes, was admitted almost eighteen months ago to Four Hills after many weeks in hospital. I heard about it by sheer chance and I am still so thankful that I did. Deep sadness and guilt at leaving him, especially when we were in the first lockdown, were very soon replaced by complete confidence in every member of staff, admin staff included. They have given him nothing but the best of nursing and personal care and have given me and the family nothing but kindness and understanding with unfailing cheerfulness. The whole team have met every challenge my husband’s complex needs have thrown up and always keep me “in the loop”, which is reassuring in itself. He loves the food and his bright, spotless room and his obvious contentment, and the very fact that he is still with us, is down to the wonderful care and attention he receives from all at Four Hills.

Although my aunt was in Four Hills for only a few weeks, we found the staff to be extremely helpful.
The bedrooms were clean and tidy, the main lounge was accessible for friends and family.
The care she had was superb. Sadly she passed away at the weekend however we knew that at the end of her life she was happy and well looked after.

What can I say! Care of my dad Alex was second to noneö in the care of Belinda and her team in the Lambhill unit at the Fourhills care home. I have 33 years experience in a senior management postion in a local authority care of older adults, and I have to say the staff were consistently helpful, caring, compassionate and support the residents with such a high level of personal committment. My sisters and I felt such a part of the Lambhill family. Nothing was too much trouble or effort and my dads personal and emotional care was supported beyond the call of duty. Even during the last day of our dads life, the staff supported us through a very traumatic time and made sure our dad's dignity was preserved at all times. I cannot recommend the Lambhill unit of Fourhills care home highly enough.
If you want your family to be cared for as you would care for them then this would be the very best care home you could choose. Superb and thank you. Kim

I would like to say thank you to all the wonderful staff in the Lambhill Unit who took such good care of my dad from March 2016 until his passing on 14th October. My dad had a wicked sense of humour and the staff captured that. He was so well looked after in his personal care to making his family still feel part of his care. I know you did everything you could for him and went above and beyond your duties at the end of my dad's life. Living in Australia made it difficult to speak to him but no one ever made me feel I was a nuisance when I called no matter what time it was and for that I am truly thankful. Knowing he was being looked after was such a blessing being so far away. In the last few months of my dad's life he had people around 24/7 and was so well cared for making the extremely hard decision my sisters had to make putting him into care a little easier. Thank you for the bottom of my heart. From The Australian one.
