Buchanan Lodge is quite simply fantastic. I have worked here as a hairdresser for many many years . The staff are lovely , extremely caring and attentive to all the residents. They also know them all on a personal level and there families so there’s a real homely feeling and inclusion is is of the upmost importance. They also have a fantastic activities coordinator Alison who is just wonderful she caters all her events to the residents needs and likes and most importantly she truly cares and loves to make them all smile she is a true gem and a huge asset to Buchanan Lodge , then there is the wonderful addition of Holly to the Activities team who has brought her youth and vibrancy and caring personality , Buchanan Lodge are lucky to have them. It really is a wonderful place.

I have worked with the Staff and Residents of Buchanan Lodge for several years now, providing massage therapy to Residents. It's is a warm, welcoming and homely place, and I enjoy the time I spend there. Every single staff member is so welcoming and friendly, and nothing is ever too much trouble. It has a peaceful and relaxed feel, and residents rooms are cosy and personalised with lovely outlooks to trees and greenery. Alison who Manages activities is so lovely and tries to include everyone in the massage sessions. She really does care about her Residents and takes the time to listen to them and get to know them. I work at many care homes, but Buchanan Lodge is special to me and if I was to move to supported living I do think Buchanan Lodge would be my own personal first choice.
