My husband was in this care home. He was left wandering about for three days. I had to take him out and place him in another as the care he was getting was. In a word dreadful. I could not get him out quick enough. That is when I was informed that he had not been given a COVID test. The home I was taking him to would not take him in without a test. I had to leave him in Wyndford lock for another three days. He had been mixing with the other residents for three days without a test. Thank goodness he is now in a lovely caring home where he is treated like a human being and not referred to as the new resident

My mother and I visited this care home today after learning that my mother's lifelong friend was suffering from dementia. Today, we where met by four caring assistants who could not have been more helpful if they had tried. It was so welcoming. They honestly could not have done enough.
After we stayed for approx 20 mins, we also witnessed how attentive the carer's in the block where. We cannot remember what it tge actual block was called but it begins with G!
I know it is just their job, however, I believe in giving credit where credit is due and these ladies honestly went beyond the caĺl of duty, more specifically the activities co-ordinator, she was just fantastic. Had so much patience and nothing was too much trouble. Also the other carers, where talking to the patients and really treating them so kindly.
My Grandfather was in a care home across from Kingsgate Retail Park in East Kilbride and if I had witnessed there, then, what I witnessed here today, it would have put my mind at rest to know that someone I loved and cared about was still being cared for professional and treated with the upmost dignity and respect. Thank-You today for restoring my faith in human kindness.
Ladies -I salute you - you are doing a wonderful job!!!!!
Thank you so much for putting our minds at rest.
