Unfortunately my mother’s condition deteriorated suddenly and she needed a nursing home placement mid lockdown in Nov 2020. Earl was amazingly helpful and I remember a huge sense of relief she was out of hospital and somewhere I felt she was being cared for by regular staff whom we could both get to know. Nine months later and I am still feeling the sense of care and efficiency I initially had. This extends to the whole team. I really feel the staff have spent time to develop a personalise routine for my mum and that they genuinely see her as an individual. I’ve also felt their support extending to me and how I can best cope with trying to support my mother. Huge efforts were made to balance contact and safety during lockdown and Earl and his team are very responsive to feedback and suggestions. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cheverton Lodge.

I have had the privilege of working at Cheverton for over ten years as a doctor. I can confidently say that the nursing care here is second to none. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to family and friends. The manager has successfully built a team which works so well together. People genuinely like each other and pull together when needed. This is reflected in the level of care that is given to the residents and the general atmosphere in the home. It is a great place to be, whether as a resident or an employee. My mother in law was very well looked after in this care home.The care was second to none.All staff were caring and compassionate and delivered a very high standard of care.The home is well maintained and kept very clean .The food is nutritious and varied.My mother in law has very complex health needs and we will always be grateful for the exceptional care she received at Cheverton Lodge.Special thanks to the Manager Earl for managing the place so efficiently especially during Covid.

My mum was admitted to Cheverton Lodge at the beginning of August 2020 ( in the midst of the Covid19 ) Right from the initial phone call with Earl, through her admission and the 3.5 months that my mum spent at Cheverton before she passed away recently. The team at Cheverton provided me with a comforting reassurance that my mum was well taken care of, especially when I was not able to see her during the lock down. The team at Cheverton treated her with respect and kindness. The staff are always pleasant and they go about caring for their elderly residents with warm hearts and great big smiles. The home is well managed, maintained and has a lovely homely decor and atmosphere, I would highly recommend Cheverton Lodge.
