My mum spent 12 years at Forest View and I have always been very happy with her care. The management are very professional and the staff are very friendly and compassionate. Unfortunately, mum had to be moved into a nursing home because her condition has become progressively worse. I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work over the years and to Pam for all her help with mum's transfer.

My Dad went into residential care in January this year and within a week he was very settled, compared to how he had been at home. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Visiting is not a problem at any time and family are made to feel very welcome. The manager has been at the home for over 30 years and most of the staff a not far behind, which to me says a lot about somewhere that deals with this kind of care. The peace of mind my Mum and our whole family now has is due these lovely, caring people and the clean, comfortable atmosphere of Forest View.

My 87-year-old husband has had dementia for over 2 years. I am 80-years-old and have cared for him at home and never wanted to have him taken anywhere. However, frequent aggressive behaviour resulting in calls for police help, finally made me collapse with the strain and he was admitted into care in January this year. Forest View care home has been my saving grace. As soon as I walk in the door I feel at home. All the staff are long serving and treat me with the utmost respect and friendliness. The atmosphere is happy, comfortable and welcoming and I can visit any time, day or night, without arrangement. Nothing is too much trouble for them. My husband is not an easy man to deal with socially, he is a loner and only comfortable with people he knows, however, to my amazement he had settled really well within a few weeks and is much happier and calmer than when he was at home. The care he receives is so much better than I could give him now and the aggression is almost non-existent. Something I was so much against has changed both out lives for the better. I will never be able to thank everyone there enough.
Update: I recently visit my husband on a very hot day and was very overcome by the heat while I was there. The care and concern I received was second to none, from the care assistants to the owner. I was offered food, drink and even a bed to lie down. After returning home, the residents manager even rang me to make sure I was alright.
Forest view would definitely be my one and only choice if ever the need arose for myself. They really do care.

We cannot fault the facility since my grandad has moved in in January. The staff are all long term and are friendly and caring. The house is well maintained and is always clean. Visiting is never a problem and we are always made to feel. Grandad has settled in very quickly, which is down to the excellent service that we are very grateful for. Highly recommended.

The care at Forestview was excellent and although Dad had his challenging times, he was always cared for in a happy, safe environment. The staff were very kind to both Dad and myself. Thankyou all. Karen
