With extensive experience as an unpaid dementia carer who has also studied aspects of dementia and pastoral care i have visited many care homes. I therefore believe i have a degree of knowledge enabling an objective assessment of Highcroft. I have been visiting a Highcroft resident for a considerable period of time and have every confidence in management and care staff. They demonstrate competence and empathy, encourage and stimulate residents. They are particularly attentive to individuals as they take time to learn the life backstory, interests and achievements of each resident and use that knowledge to support each. Hygiene is as you would expect paramount and i have noted Covid protocols have always been strictly observed. The staff demeanour is always that of spreading good cheer and the general atmosphere is friendly. Residents birthdays are a particular highlight and significant visitors virtual and in person are encouraged. As one who studied a Masters in theology i am convinced management and staff are primarily motivated by vocation. A rare attribute these days.

I am the practice nurse who visited the home today to check the residents diabetic foot health and care. I must say I was very impressed at first sight of the home- clean neat and tidy, my first impression, and I noticed there was no urine smell coming from within the home!. I was received by afriendly manager and carer. Residents feet were well looked after, clean and had emollient applied. This was an improtu visit hence no time for cleaning or getting ready so what I saw was what it is. Having worked in residential and nursing homes in the past I am well impressed.

I regular attend the care home as a health care professional. They are always thorough at checking your vaccination status and lateral flow test including temperature for the safety of their residents. Residents are usually engaged in activities. Management and staff are always at hand with any queries and organised.

I am a agency care worker and have been working with highcroft for just over 3 years. I love the fact how manager herself works hand to hand with all staff, family members and residents. She encourages us all the time and never made me feel like an agency worker. I am fully supported within my role and manager set's the perfect example. We all are treated equally and moreover the team goes over and above for the residents care. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you. Keep up the good work. Ok I love working here

I am district nurse, and regularly visit Highcroft care home to see patients. The patients are always in a good form and the staff are amazing they are always very caring. The care home has a friendly and welcoming environment and all the staff appears helpful at all times.

Firstly, thank you to the staff and management for the warm welcome shown, the manager Sajaa and her team were immensely proud of their residents and staff. My visit was pertaining to WW2 Military Veteran on his 97th birthday Mr Enders. Mr Enders spoke highly of the care he receives daily, he was particularly fond of the manager Sajaa whom I believe is doing a sterling job in the care of the residents. Mr Enders day was made special as WW2 Pilot, the staff and management did an excellent job, ensuring his day was celebrated honourably. I must commend the management and staff especially Sajaa in making Mr Enders day special. Great work.Great staff. Ian Sinclair

I visited Highcroft to deliver a chair based dance session and was welcome by friendly staff and residents alike. The team were attentive and supported our forward thinking approach. We hope to be back dancing at highcroft again soon!

I have been visiting this care home since September 2021 to visit some one who used to be my Tenant for the past 30 years my experience has been very satisfactory all the staff are brilliant caring courteous professionals cheerful polite and very friendly Place itself is very comfortable clean hygienic and very well maintained one of the Manager Shaaza is brilliant. my experience dealing with ZEN She stands out above most of the staff I have come access, she has demonstrated competence and empathy, encourage and stimulates residents ,she is very pleasant,friendly always smiling and willing to help,she always follows covid protocols very strictly and she welcomes visitors very patiently, I have lots of respect for her

I STARTED WORKING HERE IN JANUARY AS A DOMESTIC, I WAS INDUCTED BY MANAGEMENT ,THOUGHLY INTRODUCED TO HOME AND TEAM ,CURRENT INFECTION CONTROL WAS FULLY EXPLAINED, AND MADE TO READ POLICY'S. THE CARE HOME FOLLOWS ALL CURRENT GUIDLINES FOR INFECTIIN CONTROL AND RESIDENTS ARE KEPT SAFE, AND INFECTION FREE. IM REALLY ENJOYING WORKING HERE AND ALL THE STAFF ARE LOVELY TO WORK WITH .ITS A NICE WORKING ENVIRONMENT.
