Our mother had excellent care at Threen House. The staff there are all very friendly. There is always something going on and they have regular activities. My mother spent her days sitting in the lovely conservatory where she could keep track of the comings and goings and chat with other residents. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Alan, the owner, seems to always be there and is constantly busy, but is always ready to stop for a chat. We have only good memories of Mum being there.

My Auntie Evelyn was looked after by Alan the team in Threen House from September 2018 until she sadly passed away on the 24 April 2020. They do an amazing job with love and care not only with the residents but the families too. You do genuinely become part of the Threen House family. I will miss my visits and the team but will always be grateful to them for looking after her so well.

I wanted to share my experience of Threen House Nursing Home. My mother has been a resident for 5 years. Like other relatives, my sister and I take our responsibility of ensuring Mum is in the best place for her needs very seriously and, in that respect, review our decision regularly. Mum, like many residents, would prefer to be at home or living with us which just isn’t possible, given her needs and our other commitments. We looked at other homes before Mum went to Threen House and have taken her to others since. Her desire to leave is assuaged whenever we take her elsewhere, as it reminds her (and us) how different Threen House is. It’s not an institution. It’s a home. It feels warm and friendly. There is a large open living area with a spacious conservatory that is always busy and allows residents to experience the comings and goings of the day. The kitchen door is open and the buzz of cooking preparing and serving is ever present. The nurses and carers station is in the heart of the living space. There is an extensive garden (lovingly tended by the owner, Alan Hannon) and a summer house.
Our Mum prefers to stay in her room a lot and has a cosy studio space with doors onto a patio decorated with plants. It’s a wonderful outlook and the staff accommodate her wishes to often be separate - the flexibility in their regime is much appreciated.
The owner, Alan Hannon, is hardworking and a steady presence in the home. He’s warm, kind, respectful, and always has residents best interests at heart. He’s become a part of our extended family.
The home has not been without its challenges and has undergone a tough period of re-stabilising its service after a poor review. We took that opportunity to review our choice again. Having worked with Alan and the team we decided to stay and support them through this. We are delighted that we did as the hardwork and new systems have borne fruit, with Threen House attaining excellence in service again. We really value their openness to feedback and joint partnership in addressing concerns and needs.
Evi Paraskevi Beletsioti, Manager, has brought in a new structure and regimen that is thorough and robust. Alan and Evi are an excellent double act, providing a balance of formality and warmth, maintaining all that we love about Threen House.
At a recent residents, friends and family event, a fellow family member, talking about her decision to place her aunt in Threen House, echoed similar sentiments about how different it is - warm, gentle and somewhere we feel happy to trust the care of our vulnerable relatives.

I cannot praise this home enough, my mum was with them for around 7 months and she was looked after like she was part of a family. She sadly passed away on Jan 11 2019 and the owner Allan and all staff were amazing to us and some attended the funeral. Allan offered for us to have a celebration of her life gathering after the funeral at the home. Thank you all so much. This home is 5 star
