My mother moved to Milton Court in September 16 when her dementia reached a point she could not cope on her own in her flat. We had been looking at care homes for Mum and were impressed with the activities for the residents, welcoming professional staff and light space in Milton Court.
During her time here, she needed more intensive care to start with in the nursing floor but soon recovered enough to move to the residential section. She settled in quickly in a light fresh room and made friends with many of the residents and staff. Milton Court supported Mum as she went through several phases as her health deteriorated and when she reached her final months, the staff made sure she was as comfortable as possible. I will always be grateful especially to the staff of the nursing floor who made sure we knew when it was her time so we could be there with her at the end. It meant a lot to me and my sister to know she passed away peacefully.

Milton court is the most beautiful care homes I have seen. Such a wonder vibe as you walk into the home with a warm welcome from all staff. I love that they have activities on for the residents daily to keep them busy and active and the cakes made fresh daily by the chef are amazing. All staff are happy to help with everything and the rooms are beautifully decorated and very spacious. Highly recommended.

Milton Court Care Home is a gorgeous home. Its not just a care home but a big family. People are treated with dignity and respect. Its a shame I am too young as I wouldn't mind living there. Oh and the food is amazing :)

My mother moved here from Willen Hospice for “end of life care”
I initially found this very difficult to accept as for the last two years I had done everything for her, and didn’t think anyone would be able to care for her as well as me.
I was very wrong, the care she received on level three was amazing. The staff met all her care needs day & night. The food was really well cooked, if I was not around a member of staff would sit next to he and feed her.
“Willen At Home” nurses would still come to visit & call the staff to check how she was doing (which was another concern for me at the begining )
Towards the end the staff made me feel very welcome when I stayed over at night time. Always explaining what was happening.
The Bistro on the ground floor, was a nice place to escape to without being too far away.
She spent 8 weeks there before passing away peacefully.
I would definitely recommend Milton Court to anyone who like myself has very high standards.
I felt that I also made some lovely friends whilst she was there.
Thank you all so much ❤️

We took the decision to take my mother in law here from hospital as we wanted better care. The team in the Buckingham Suite cared for her until end of life and we are eternally grateful. She was kept very comfortable and would highly recommended to anyone who requires nursing care. Thank you one and all from the bottom of our hearts The Demner family.

Both our parents spent their final years at MCCH, both suffered different forms of dementia. I was profoundly grateful that the home was prepared to take both of them so they stayed together as a couple, despite their differing needs. Two years on, after Dad passed away, the home was sold on to Avery. The transformation was miraculous. The environment improved and staffing was addressed.
I cannot praise the home enough for the care and love they gave to our parents. In her last 4 years as a widow, with slight dementia and severe speech aphasia due to a stroke, she could not have been better cared for if she was the Queen. She was genuinely loved. I saw many tender moments and small kindnesses by the staff when they were unaware I was there. Mum knew she was cared for by good people. It is a difficult thing to leave someone so vulnerable in the care of strangers, but they became true friends and Mum became part of their family.
Cleanliness, catering and entertainment were all excellent. Mum had a lovely room. As with any family dealing with the decline and horrors of the disease with a loved one we had some tough and emotional times. I can only say that those times were dealt with in a professional and genuinely caring way. We mattered as a family to MCCH , it was not just Mum's journey.
I would have no hesitation in recommending MCCH to someone searching for a safe and loving home for someone needing care. As a family, we remain grateful for all they did for all of us. Mum was treated with respect and she died with dignity and at peace. We were all cared for at this difficult time by people who were truly humane. We could not ask for more.
Thank you to all the staff, too numerous to mention here, but you know who you are. Our parents were lucky to have known you all.
