K. S.Do not judge until you have spoken to family members and viewed home for yourself. If you research this you will find these are comments from staff who have left and who were not able to meet the criteria that we require for this type of environment Understandably we all want the best for our loved ones, so try reading the report that is posted online following recent inspection and contact home direct and speak to management yourselves. There are staff who have been working in the home long term who are very happy and who show dedication, compassion, empathy and who are very committed to providing care to a very high standard.
A. W.My father has been a resident at Florence Justice for a few months now and we couldn’t be more pleased with our decision in choosing a home. All the staff are amazing, the care they provide is second to none. Dad has settled well and is really happy and thriving, he has nothing but praise for all the staff who go out of their way to ensure all the residents are happy and have everything they need. All Dad’s family and friends that visit Dad have expressed how fantastic the home and staff are. A big thank you to Caron and her team for your continued care and support given to Dad and all of us, we are so grateful to you all for making Dad’s transition into Residential Care as smooth as possible. We look forward to having many happy years with you all and think of you all as extended family. If anyone is looking for a Residential Care Home for a family member we can 100% recommend Florence Justice. E. C.I'm somewhat surprised by the negative comments on here. My sister-in-law is 94 years old and has been a resident here since late 2018. We visited numerous care homes before selecting this one and have not regretted doing so at all. My sister-in-law has settled in far better than we anticipated she would, after living independently for so long. She is absolutely delighted that she can have her hair done weekly, on site! (At a VERY reasonable cost!) We have found the staff (and the owners) very friendly, understanding and caring. They are knowledgeable and cater for each resident's individual needs and preferences. The food is excellent and a good variety is available to choose from. Special days are held to celebrate special occasions (Birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Mothers Day etc.,) when all the residents, staff and visitors can participate. In the last few months there has also been an increase in the daily activities laid on for the residents which is excellent. Myself and my sister-in-law's friend arrived last week when one of the activities was underway - far from being made to feel awkward for arriving then, we were invited to join in - which we did and had a great time! I would certainly recommend this Care Home.
D. H.Mum has been a resident at Florence Justice for the past 4 years.
Since the New Manager Caron has taken on the role along with Deputy Manager Kathryn we have been able to relax more and are pleased with mums care within the home.
Both Caron and Kathryn are passionate about the care they give to both the residents and staff. They have introduced staff training and structure into the home and provide guidance for the carers who are equally passionate in their roles. They have introduced for the residents; games and in house stimulation which assists in better interaction for the residents both with each other and the carers. Also some shopping and seaside trips which mum and the other residents have enjoyed.
Nothing is perfect, but, any issues/concerns we have are listened to. Mum at this time is doing well and appears happy and so long as this continues we as a family will also be happy. Dee & Kate
R. G.My 95 year old grandmother is a current resident in this lovely home! She has been in previous homes for respite care, but none of them compare to this one! The place is spotless, the staff are all amazing, very friendly and really care about the residents! They are very attentive! The food is all home cooked on site and there is always plenty of it! They make an effort to do things with the residents! They had a tea party for Mother’s Day which family of the residents were welcome to attend! For Easter they all made an Easter bonnet and then had an Easter tea party with lots of lovely food and an Easter egg hunt! I have to say that so far I can’t fault this place at all! I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of looking for a residential home for a family member!
b. r.My Mother in Law is 97 in December in Feb 2018 she was in RGH on discharge she decided she could no live in her own home and my wife and daughter began the process of looking for a good residential Home. My input was to go to the Florence Justice Home first which they did, but also checked out several others, in my wife's opinion none came up to the standard she had seen in the Florence Justice, I have personally known the owners family for 30+ years and the home they ran in Chepstow was equally good they have a very caring attitude was is reflected in the staff,
my mother in law is totally with it and she absolutely loves it there and is very happy and content and has no complaints at all, neither have we her family, to be brutally truthful we really thank that if she hadn't mover there should would not be with us now. 11 out of 10 for the Home, staff care food, and all the little extras, have no fear at all about your loved ones living here
M. A.We were lucky enough to be able to secure a place for 2 weeks for my mother in law on respite, while we went on a much needed family holiday. Karen and her team are amazing and my mother in law really enjoyed her stay. We obviously were very anxious and concerned about her having to go to a residential home, as it is new to us and her, but we had such a positive experience from it, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to anyone. Karen especially was so helpful and couldn't do enough for us, she helped put our minds at rest and we were able to enjoy our holiday and have complete peace of mind.knowing that my mother in law was being so well looked after. Thank you again, to you all, especially Karen, we csn't thank you enough.
J. N.My mum has been a resident here since October 2018 and I can honestly say the care she recieves here is amazing. Nothing us too much trouble for the staff, they are always willing to do help the residents with whatever they need.
The food is second to none, they have a choice of menus each day which is both nutritious and appetising.
As for activities they have a variety of activities each day, they also, now the good weather is here have BBQ's, plus they also take the residents out shopping, and for days out to the seaside.
For anyone looking for a residential home for a loved one I would totally recommend Florence Justice.
C. D.Excellent team of passionate,dedicated very professional care staff whom pride themselves on delivering the highest standard of personalised care and quality of life for the residents. Daily activity around the home is meaningful and engaging where family, friends and visitors are encouraged to join in creating an inclusive, warm, welcoming and homely atmosphere.
Staff are engaged upon their own individually designed professional personal development plan and are highly motivated and driven toward continued learning, an enhanced and more indepth knowlege of their chosen profession, and acquiring the necessary skills to perform in their duties to a standard of no less than 'excellence'. They are remarkable individuals with a great deal to offer.
The owners are holistic in their approach and are both caring, sensitive and responsive to the needs of both residents, staff and family members of the home. Truly motivated to maintaining a clean and comfortable environment filled with happy and contented individuals.
Florence Justice is truly a unique and pleasurable place to both live and work. It has a real feel of 'home' where management and staff work alongside residents and their families with the greatest sense of mutual openness, transparency, trust, respect and unity.
H. M.My mother has lived here for the past 16 months. She is very happy and contented in this lovely home. The owners, management and carers are very caring and obliging.
The improvements to the day to day running of the establishment over the last couple of months have enhanced the quality of care on offer.
