This place is a charity funded place. I have a 17 year old boy with mobility issues. I have a 14 year old typical teenage girl. Then there is me and a friend I tagged along. The price is reasonable and even get to return within 7 days if you are lucky enough to have found this place at the start of your holiday. The staff are very friendly, the cafe is lovely and the place is amazing. We all had a fantastic time. Was the best place we had been during our whole stay. Even when there was a group antagonising the monkeys and going over the barriers (always one group eh), the staff demonstrated how much they care. The lady that went over to them was fuming. They really care for these animals. Honestly is beautiful. I will add one or two photos but don't want to add too many as you really need to see this place for yourself to truly understand its beauty.

Lovely, well laid out, small animal sanctuary that has a lovely modern family atmosphere and has the animal's welfare at heart.
They have a brilliant cafe where the sandwiches are made on site by the serving staff.
Great day out !
Well worth the entrance fee.

What a wonderful place. The animals are beautiful and very well looked after. You can tell how much the staff care about the residents and providing a great visitor experience.
Definitely try and visit when it opens, you might get to hear the gibbons sing, which is one of the most joyful experiences I've had!

Lovely place. Really reasonable entry fee, with free 7 day return.
Great talks from the keepers are informative. Given a map upon arrival with all information regarding enclosure locations and the times of the talks the keepers do.
Nice food, a little pricey. Indoor and outdoor seating. Has a play area for little children outside.
There is a larger play area for other children located elsewhere.
Small gift shop, reasonably priced, with some great gift ideas and keepsakes.
Most enclosures were labeled with information plaques which were interesting and well laid out. Gave information on the species as well as the individuals themselves (names, DOB, personalities etc). The information was tailored right for both adult and child reading, with pictures and fun comparisons for sizes (e.g. the size of a chicken, weight of a bowling ball) as well as the scientific information (actual measurements/spans, full name).
There is also an app you can download. Scan barcodes laid out around the park to watch and read interactive things related to the animals. This includes their sounds/calls etc.
Push chair and wheel chair friendly with accessible parking and paved paths around the park.

Wow, staff were amazing, a young lady took the time to stop with a pair of turtles to let my children sit and meet them, the whole place was beautiful and so well kept, the animals all looked happy and healthy and there was so much information around and ways to interact. Also the tea room and gift shop were good prices! Highly recommend here for everyone.

Such a great place to visit. This is a great place to learn about animals and the dangers of thinking these animals make a good pet! They don’t ! And this is why it’s good to visit and keep places like this doing this vital work. There are monkeys galore to see and also meerkats and reptiles as well as lots of owls.
Great value for money and plenty of choice in the cafe. Would highly recommend this for a family day out.
Don’t take the dog as they can’t allow them in as they upset the monkeys 🙈

A great place to spend time with your family. Perfect if you have kids as there is a big playground for them. They do sell ice cream and fresh drinks, there is a souvenir shop, staff is friendly and most importantly... It's not only monkeys! You can also see wild birds like owls, beautiful fish, lizards and spiders!

A relatively small site but the animals are well looked after and there are frequent staff presentations which keep you interested. Jordan gave all the presentations during our visit and he is very friendly, knowledgeable and obviously cares very deeply for the animals at the facility.
There are 4 bird enclosures, 1 reptile/insect/arachnid enclosure, 1 meerkat enclosure and numerous enclosures for the various apes, monkeys and lemurs. They are all beautiful and wonderful to watch and so the centre is well worth a visit and to support all the excellent work they do, caring for their welfare.
There are a couple of play areas with climbing frames and play equipment for little ones and a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. There is one designated smoking area.
As a tourist site there is some work to do as the toilets (male & female) had a powerful ammonia stench, which was extremely unpleasant. The service at the cafe was really poor. Even though the queue was short (3) it was 20 minutes to get a couple of coffees. The cafe staff did not seem to have any sense of urgency to serve the customers. We did not order any food, as we are only on the island for 7 days.
A family ticket (2A+2C) is £44 but with gift aid is £48.40.
You receive a receipt when you enter if you want to return in 7 days. You sign the reciept and this permits you to return once in the next 7 days.

It's not massive but we got there at 10am and left at 3pm. We meandered back and forth from the moneys to the owls and reptiles a few times. Activity sheets for the kids to do and run amok with, decent cafe, and excellent talks with keepers who seem to genuinely love their jobs. At the end of our week on the Isle of Wight we all agreed Monkey Haven was our favourite place, closely followed by Carisbrooke Castle. Definitely recommend this.

I enjoyed this, mainly because there were regular talks about the different monkeys and owls and why they were rescued. Entrance price could be seen as a little expensive, but I appreciate that the money is needed for the animals and to upgrade their living area. A massive new enclosure is being built at the moment.
The entrance ticket is valid for repeat visits up to a week.
