My mother was a patient at this home for a brief period of time. The staff were absolutely fantastic and my mother could be quite difficult, but this was never problem for the staff at all. They were always doing there very best for her. The staff are the best ever and can not be faulted.

I have worked at Woodside House Care Home as an entertainer for more years than i can remember . I can truly say the management team and staff are so caring towards the residents credit to all .As an entertainer i love performing this home .The staff and all management i would rate 10/10 so lovely and deliver a first class service to all the residents no one person is neglected cant say anymore than thank you and keep the high standards going thank you regards BUDGIE (pro musician) 22 years as an entertainer i know a good home when i see one cant recommend this home enough x

My experience of Woodside House is that it is one special place! The activity staff go above and beyond helping to enrich the lives of the residents with such a variation of resources and entertainment and are very sensitive to individual needs. The housekeeping staff do a great job in keeping the home clean, tidy and welcoming to all.

Woodside House is a lovely home, whenever I go there the staff are so welcoming and approachable, it's always clean and tidy with a calm happy atmosphere. The staff are always the same, which says a great deal about a place, it's clearly a lovely place to work and to be a resident. I just hope its as nice when I need a carehome!

My friend has been living at Woodside for almost 3 years and the care she has received has been wonderful. All the staff are amazing and totally dedicated to the care of the residents. Throughout these difficult times with the virus and lockdowns the staff have worked tirelessly to ensure the wellbeing of the residents. Mention must be made of Sam the activity manager and her team. With their help the residents enjoy numerous events and entertainment which is brilliant in keeping the morale of the residents high. The home itself is purpose built with luxurious interior design and has easy access throughout. The food is delicious and Kim and her team ensure all dietary needs are met.

My father is at Woodside House, he is looked after very well by all the staff. Every body at Woodside is approachable, from the pink ladies, the maintenance team, to the kitchen staff, the careers, the activities team, to the reception and office staff, to the management. The staff are very friendly and happy to help. Nothing is too much trouble. The home is clean and well maintained. At the moment it is going through some updating which is always good. They have recently got some new furniture and lots of decorating going on at the moment. They have weekly trips out which all residents enjoy. I would like to thank all the staff for their help and support.

I have been visiting Woodside House once a week for the past three years as their hairdresser. Elena and her staff have always made me feel very welcome.The level of care that I have seen is of a very high standard and I would feel very happy with any relative of mine living there. Woodside House has a very open and airy feel about it and is kept spotless.There is always an activity organised with an extra living room for any one who wants some peace and quiet. One word describes Woodside and it's staff "Awesome". My friend moved here three week's ago and everything has been perfect. The home has a wonderful atmosphere, is spotlessly clean and decorated to a very high standard. There are activities organised daily with regular outings in the minibus. However for me the main attribute of Woodside is the staff. From Elena, the Manager througjh all departments the staff are amazing and you can tell they are dedicated and really enjoy their work. My friend is on "Memory Lane" and in my opinion this is the best specialist dementia care unit I have seen. The level of care and kindness is absolutely wonderful.

My Father became a resident in October 2018. I'd heard horror stories about Nursing Homes, and vowed never to place my Father into one anywhere. Alas......a vow that can't compete with advanced Dementia, and nursing needs, so.......here he is at Barchester Woodside. My Father is on Memory Lane, but I have had happy and pleasant encounters with ALL staff and residents from the minute I walk through the main door, regardless of which unit they reside in. This is the ONLY facility that I trust with my Father, I've seen the staff at their absolute best. Every single person I have encountered is thoroughly professional in their their care of the residents. I have NEVER seen anything to cause concern or alarm. I've gotten to know the staff very very well, and some of the other residents too. The whole facility is full of lovely people, and nothing is too much trouble when requested. Nursing staff are A1 First Class, and the carers......both male and female......are on the ball. I can't fault them.....not even in a minor way. I thank God that there are people who can do what they do at Woodside House Residents will wander in and out of each others rooms, sit down, and have a chat with visitors. They are a JOY to be around, and a pleasure to talk to when I visit my father. Helen, Susan, Jean, Linda, John, David, Graham.........it's a pleasure to talk to them all. Elena, Melanie, Martha, Hyacinth, Joanna, Anjie, Herald, Kirk, Rachel, Gian, Florina, Kerry, Chantelle, Marion..........AND ALL the staff who's names I have not mentioned here, and from the the behind the scenes in the support units.......... THANKS for all you do, THANKS for taking the weight, THANKS for being there. But most importantly THANKS for the reassurance and confidence that you've given me........in knowing that my loved one is cared for and treated with the respect, and dignity he is due.
