Harrier house is a brilliant place to live or work. Staff support each other and have massive support from the wonderful management team. Staff throughout the home are given opportunities to progress further if wanted, and are encouraged to better our knowledge with regular training. We recently received a ‘good’ CQC inspection, and the praise we got from through out the company was very much appreciated, as they had seen the hard work put in by all staff. The benefits along with working here are the best I’ve seen in all my time working in care. The management are firm but fair- the best management to have, to grow a successful care home. As someone who works here, I feel very much supported and appreciated. And just to clarify, I have not been told to do this review. I am on annual leave and thought I should share my wonderful experience with Harrier House care home and Adept.

It's coming up to a year that I have worked at Harrier House for and this year has gone so fast and I've enjoyed my time here so far. Management are really supportive and offer advice and guidance when you ask for it, they are firm but are also fair. Staff that I have worked with come together as a team and we all work well together, a great team we have at Harrier! For me personally the 14 hour shifts work better for me, I get to work 3 days and have 4 days off. I can drop and collect my children from school and I feel like I have more of a home life compared to my previous job. These shifts are chosen by the staff and we know what we are signing up for, you are not forced into them. I don't feel like I'm going to work, I'm coming into the residents home to care and support them and I really enjoy my role. In just under a year I have gone from a care assistant to a senior care assistant, had training and they have enrolled me onto my NVQ's. If you work hard enough, show initiative and common sense then you will be rewarded for your hard work! In all jobs we have bad days, but what makes Harrier House different is how the team across the care, activities, laundry, housekeeping, management and admin pull together to get through it. I am so proud to tell people I work at Harrier House and can't wait to see what the future holds for this fantastic care home.

Came to harrier house after being iffered several positions with other homes and have had no regrets on my choice, Harrier house is a superb place to work, having come In as a senior I have received nothing but support and guidance from all team including management and management have been nothing but supportive to help give me the skills and experience I need to progress in job roles they want to see you. Nothing has been to much trouble for them there have been times I have needed shifts off or changed or just someone to talk to they have always had an open door to listen and help The whole team are amazing at harrier house and we all support and work with each other. Adept is a fantastic company the best I have worked for out of all the other companys i previously worked for and couldn't thank them enough for the opportunities and support they have given me.

I can say that I work in the best company and care home in one place. The management is so supportive and caring, the place is incredibly beautiful and the people working there are fully qualified and educated. Honestly? The best place to work feel like part of family.

Whilst my grandad has only just gone in for respite we can't thank the staff enough for swiftly sorting everything out for us and my grandad, Samantha was so lovely during his assessment and Martain was so kind to me on the phone whilst I was in a fluster trying to sort everything out they all do genuinely care, all the staff we have met so far have been very welcoming and I feel at ease knowing he's being well looked after
