My mother was admitted into Millington Springs in February 2021 direct from hospital and was very ill. I cannot thank the staff enough for their friendly support and their communication levels to keep me informed during the pandemic restrictions.
When I visit now the staff make me very welcome and are always laughing and joking with mum. I can see for myself that mum is happy and is getting the care she needs.
Thank you so much you have been fantastic 😊

My mum was extremely ill when admitted to Millington Springs in January. Since being here she has made a marvelous recovery. The staff are extremely friendly and caring, the meals are beautiful and my mum feels she is in a 5 star hotel! My mum rings me daily and every day she tells me how much she loves the staff and how she will miss them greatly when she leaves. The care my mum has received in Millington Springs has been second to none and my family and I cannot thank them enough for looking after and caring for my mum during a tough time. I have had great peace of mind whilst she has been at Millington Springs.
Thank you so.much!

My Mother has been in Millington Springs for six months. The Home is spacious, light and airy and the decor/furnishings are kept to an excellent standard. I can honestly say cleanliness is paramount. It is well staffed and staff at all levels are passionate in their Care and commitment. Qualified Nursing staff are also available. The food is ample, well balanced and home cooked by the Catering department with enthusiasm and pride. Activities are also available. My Mother is kept to an exceedingly high level of personal care also. I am so pleased we chose Millington Springs

My father was in here for 2 weeks respite care, stayed in bed the whole time so wasn't dressed at all. Despite this, he came home with only 10% of his clothes. He even said whilst waiting for the ambulance on the last day, he saw a man wearing his best jumper, and yes this was one of the good items that was missing. His medication was not returned, the expensive cream that anyone can use was taken. If your family member has to be admitted, don't send their decent clothing or special meds with them!
Update 18/04- following this review, the home has investigated our issues and I can now say the clothing has been returned and what couldn't be located, a refund has been given. Many thanks to Billi for her help with this matter. On the basis of this, the stars review has been increased.

My grandma spent her last few weeks staying at Milington springs. For what was a difficult time for the family the staff made a real difference and made it as easy as it could be. Everything you would want to happen, happened. She was well looked after and well cared for. Staff would often say how lovely she was. Every single person involved was always considerate, polite and helpful. Her last few days where there we several of us staying at the home was never an issue and we were all fully fed and watered even Millington providing some mattresses for us to rest on. I could not recommend Miltington enough for everything they have done for firstly my grandma but secondly our family.

Mum stayed at Millington Springs (as respite for me) during February 2018. I was worried at first because I had never left mum in a Nursing Home before. However, as the days went by I relaxed! Friends and family visiting mum said how mum was thriving, looked really good and was being well looked after. The home is lovely and clean. All the staff are professional and genuinely caring and I would not hesitate to place mum there again or recommend Millington Springs to anyone.

My 91 year old has recently had a third Stroke. We have tried to look after her at home but she kept falling and needed 24 hour care. We viewed several Homes and chose Millington Springs as we felt it had a wonderful, professional and caring feel. Regardless of my mother's reluctance to go into Care she has very quickly settled and praises the staff for looking after her so weĺl. This is an excellent Care/Nursing Home . There are plenty of staff and the medical attention is unbeatable.

My Mum needed end of life care so I looked at several Nursing Homes in the area. I decided on Millington and was not disappointed. We where only there for 3 short weeks, but I and other family members visited every day and were made to feel very welcome. I cannot fault one aspect of her care. When it became apparent Mum wasn`t going to be around for much longer, mattresses were provided for us to sleep in The Retreat (a side room opposite Mum`s room). Tea and coffee was always on offer, and toast, sandwiches and yoghurts were provided without our even asking. There were 7 of us in total, so we felt like we had taken over the Nursing home , but never once were we treated with anything other than understanding and compassion. My eldest son always says you can tell alot about people by the way they treat others, if thats the case then every single member of staff at Millington can hold there head high. They all deserve ten stars rather than five. Thank you for looking after our most treasured relative in such a kind and caring way.

My father entered Millington Springs Care Home In December 2017 having had a major stroke which left him paralyzed down the left side of his body, this was the biggest decision I have had to make in my life but any doubt I may have had soon disappeared. The home is more like a small village community a mixture of residents with a variety needs all well looked after by very caring and helpful staff, the home is extremely clean and comfortable and meals are varied and always look very nice my father always cleans his plate praising the quality. If you are looking for somewhere for your family member then look no further I cannot praise Millington enough my father is happy and content which is all I could ask for I have no problem in giving a 5 star review. Earlier review on Google giving this 2 star obviously does not have a family member there please ignore and see for yourself.

After losing our dad in march we had to put our mother in nursing care. We chose Millington because it was close by. We weren't dissapointed, my mother is so happy. The care is excellent, the food is tasty and varied - I can vouch for it - The entertainment and activities are excellent, they had an halloween party, a bonfire night party, a royal tea party, and a remembrance afternoon. Lyndsey the entertainments organiser goes above and beyond. Roll on December for more entertainment. We'll done

This is a very caring care home. Every member of staff whether carers, nurses, laundry and cleaning and cooking staff are friendly and helpful. Always. There are fully qualified registered nurses there at all times of the day and night. They listen. Matt and Ann are brilliant. The carers are all indeed very caring and work hard to attend to the varying needs of the residents. Nothing is too much trouble and in fact offer to go the extra mile. Dawn the administrator is lovely and will help with all she can and is very friendly and approachable. The icing on the cake staff wise is the Manager. Asha is quite remarkable in the way she monitors the whole home like clockwork. She manages the home and knows what’s going on at all times. The staff carry iPods and enter up to date information about patients which is shared throughout the home. They know where the residents are at all times with photos on the notes so there’s no confusion. In addition Asha makes regular checks on all aspects of the running of the home. She’s everywhere monitoring both staff and patients for the benefit of the home. Her office is to the side of the main entrance and her door is always open for any questions or requirements. She is well respected by the staff who in addition all seem to enjoy their work. Problems are sorted as soon as possible. The food is good and appropriate to all dietary needs. The rooms are very spacious and my mother ( who has always disliked dark houses ) is in a room filled with light. It’s very light and airy with views. She has plenty of storage space and was offered a flat screen tv but refused going for a digital radio in preference. Mum went in for a week’s respite care and enjoyed it and has ended up staying longer and possibly on a permanent basis. She enjoys the interactions with the staff and other residents whom she’s getting to know.
I would recommend this care home. The staff are open and honest. Mum had been having falls at home so I wasn’t surprised when they told me she’d fallen trying to be too independent and not pressing the bell clipped to her bedding to get help. She wasn’t hurt but I was impressed when I was informed. I feel confident leaving mum here. She likes it and so do I. They even allowed me to take mum’s pot plants over and I filled a bed with her own geraniums. Also when visiting we were always asked if we wanted tea or coffee and we were made to feel part of the larger family.

Our Dad loves the home. The staff are attentive to his needs and the overall environment is that of a peaceful and friendly one. The whole care home is very clean and the actual bedrooms are spacious and nice. The facillities they have, means that my Dad always has something to do; if he feels up to it. I can not recommended this care home highly enough.

My father was in Millington Springs only a short while but all the staff were respectful and spent time to get to know him.
Any concerns we did have were listened to and more importantly were dealt with quickly and effectively.

I have carried out work here for 2 days installing a new phone system and WiFi throughout the building. I can honestly say it is one of the best care homes i have had the pleasure to work in. Clean throughout and all the staff show genuine care for the residents.
