When we decided that our Mum needed 24 hour care and that live in care was the best option for her, Oxford Aunts was recommended to me. I was very impressed from the outset with their very professional and caring approach.
Following an initial assessment, Oxford Aunts in connection with ourselves selected a suitable carer for Mum. She has been absolutely excellent. She is a delightful person, incredibly caring and also highly trained and very professional.
Katy ( sometimes known as Kathy) goes above and beyond in her care for Mum, always looking for ways to improve Mum’s care and quality of life.Katy has built a very positive relationship with Mum as well as with my sister and me, keeping us in the picture on important matters.
We have total trust in her which is is really important and know that she has strong back up from Oxford Aunts, from a Care Manager and in terms of very clear ways of operating and well established procedures.
We were very keen that a carer could remain with Mum for a significant period rather than frequent changes in carer. This has indeed been our experience with Oxford Aunts.
It is a difficult and emotional decision deciding on the best care for a parent and our experience with Oxford Aunts has made that so much easier and the most important thing is Mum is being incredibly well cared for.

We engaged Oxford Aunts to provide live in care for my 95yr old mother who has Dementia after she was discharged from hospital in January 2021 after admission with Covid and a Stroke. Oxford Aunts were incredibly active making an in depth assessment of my mother's needs and going the extra mile to find the right carer for her. The carer has been incredibly helpful, friendly, and adaptable to my mother's needs. She helped her with dressing, bathing and toileting as well as providing her with food that she liked and engaging her in activities such as watching birds in the garden and looking at photo albums. She also was able to ensure that my mother did not do things which might have put her in danger - such as walking outside without her frame. The carer was there to oversee visiting workmen if repairs were needed and she also kept the house and laundry all clean and tidy. Having an Oxford Aunts Carer in my mothers home relieved me of a great deal of daily worry and ensured that my mother was safe and well looked after during the night as well as the day. I would, without hesitation, recommend them to others who have relatives needing live in care.

Our 97-year old mother was initially very resistant to having live-in care. Oxford Aunts did a fabulous job in identifying a truly wonderful, patient and sensitive caregiver who rapidly gained our mother's trust and takes makes sure she is well looked after while maintaining a sense of independence. This has dramatically improved our mother's happiness, wellbeing and quality of life. Instead of sitting at home alone, she is now going out regularly with her caregiver for walks, tea, and family visits. Among other things, our mother's caregiver cooks delicious, nutritious meals, accompanies her to doctor's appointments, oversees repairs to the house, and helps her with family Zoom meetings and email. We couldn't be happier with the care our mother is receiving and are extremely grateful both to her wonderful caregiver and to Oxford Aunts for finding such an exceptional person.

Our 91 year old Uncle needed a live in companion as his wish was not to go to a care home. After much research we found Oxford Aunts. We made contact with Jake Wyeth and explained the situation: Alexander had been assaulted by a friend who was supposed to be caring for him and had been looked after my Husband for 3 weeks 24/7 after she had been arrested, which was proving difficult as we live in Warwickshire not Oxfordshire. We needed to know once he was released from hospital that he would have the level of care and companionship that he’d so loved with his nephew for the last few weeks. He still had a sparkle in his eye and could charm anyone with his repartee and name dropping and Jake assured us that time would be taken to find the right ‘Aunt’ for him. True to his word Jake set about organising the logistics of all that bringing Uncle A home would entail. A wonderful woman, Amanda Shield, came to his house to discuss with us the options etc but more importantly than that, she asked us “So, tell me about your Uncle Alexander, his loves, his likes and his life” Well, my husband has inherited a lot from his uncle it seems as Amanda was regaled with stories of the film industry in the 1950s with copious name dropping. She took notes and said all the details would help her find his perfect match. Sadly Alexander died a few weeks later, never returning to his beloved home. Oxford Aunts stepped into our lives, offering advice, comfort and professionalism that appears to be missing in many other companies. Without hesitation I would recommend them. We felt they cared, we weren’t a case file, we were a family needing guidance. And I know had Alexander been lucky enough to make it home his Oxford Aunt would have stepped in as family, giving us, peace of mind and the knowledge that he could talk for as long as wanted and he’d be heard. Thank you Jake, Amanda and all the team. Forever grateful, Linda and Peter Burridge

We can not thank Oxford Aunts enough for looking after our mother and helping her be as independent as possible in her own home.
Her carer arrived at the start of Covid 19 lock-down and has kept her healthy and happy in a very stressful time.
We are very impressed by the quality of care including the back up they have from management.
