Recently I did my work experience here at Barchester - Hampton Grove Care Home. I was assigned to the activities team who were so helpful and friendly and gave me a wonderful experience. All the other staff were very kind and welcoming also. The residents were a delight to work with and I would highly recommend Hampton Grove Care Home.

I’ve visited a few times and the care staff are very welcoming! They also take great care of the residents which is wonderful to see. There are also plenty of activities for the residents to partake in so they are definitely never bored!!

My Mum has just had three weeks here before returning home after a lengthy hospital stay. From the moment I met Christoff the manager and his team I felt confident that Mum would be well looked after. The staff went out of their way to care for Mum and get her stronger and were happy and helpful at all times.I would happily use again if needed and thoroughly recommend.

I attended the light switch on event to chaperone my daughter Thea. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or professional. Every detail had been thought about from the residents perspective and there was lots of flexibility for them to enjoy the event. I particularly noticed the brilliant engagement with the residents families at all ages and the personal touch. I've visited here before and always enjoy the happy residents and their enthusiasm for Theas singing - music, tea and cake seems to give everyone a really happy experience!

The staff taking care of my husband could not have been more helpful,. 'their dedication is clear to see and their efficiency to be commended. It is not easy to place a loved one in care, but so much better when you know they are being cared for in a highly professional way.

As a District Nurse we have built a really good working relationship with all members of staff. The carers are hardworking and have their residents at the heart of all they do. The manager and deputy manager are fantastic and are a brilliant support to staff and all of my nursing team. They have been extra supportive during the pandemic helping to alleviate pressures on the community nurses whilst keeping staff and residents safe.

I have worked at Hampton grove for many years as an entertainer and it is definitely one of my favourite venues to sing at. The residents are lovely always happy to sing and dance along with the wonderful staff who make each visit like a party. Can’t wait to go back once restrictions are ended.

The staff are always very professional and helpfull and the relationship between the staff management and Nurses are very good. I've only worked here for nearly 3months now but they have made me so welcome and i already feel like I'm apart of the family they want you to be your best and will help you every step of the way. I've worked in other care homes and none of them compare to hampton grove. The manager is excellent and down to earth. High quality care for residents and even for staff

Our father spent the last year of his life in Avery house. We can not fault the staff for their care and compassion not just towards our father but also towards the whole family. They ensured that he was comfortable cared for meeting all his needs. They were all thoughtful etc. It is testament to their care and commitment that at the end of his life they called in to see him even if they were on a day off or working on another floor. Nothing was to much bother for them and they all carried out their duties with great skill and patience. Not only did the care for him but through out his later days we felt they were caring for us as a family always asking after our well being etc and guiding us gently and sensitively through this traumatic time. We can not thank them enough. If any one is looking for a care home for their elderly parents we would highly recommend Avery house
