My relative received end of life care in this home, I can honestly say the care she received was second to none. Nothing was to much trouble for any member of staff. We were all made to feel welcome and hand absolutely no concerns that my relative was well looked after. Whenever I needed to talk to any member of the management including the Owner I was always well accommodated. I have worked and had relatives in various care homes and I have never known an Owner to work as hard and to be as dedicated as the one at Durnsford. It saddens me to read some of these reviews at is clearly disgruntled ex member of staff. I have not one bad word to say about Durnsford and on behalf of myself and my family we would like to say a massive thank you for all your hard work not only for my relative but for all your residents. Best home I have ever had the pleasure to be in!!!!!

I have worked at Durnsford Lodge for 7 months now and have felt welcomed and included since day 1. Our residents are happy, very well looked after and take part in fun activities everyday. I can honestly say I enjoy going to work. It is sad to read a negative & untrue review from someone, just because their time here didn’t work out.

This home is the best home I have worked in. Friendly atmosphere and truly home from home. Residents are well looked after and cared for. Residents enjoy regular outings and entertainment. There is always something going on to engage the residents. Brilliant staff who are always happy to help. Management very approachable and supportive. Best home in Plymouth!!!

When I think about a Care Home, the first thing I think of is would I be happy if a member of my close family was a resident there?......I can honestly say if it were the case then I would be more than satisfied that my family member was in a warm, caring and clean environment as is the case at Durnsford Lodge. I've recently started working there, and I can say hand on heart everyone associated with this Care home from the cleaner to the Carers, to Management and and the Owner, are some of the warmest human beings you'll ever meet. The residents wellbeing and happiness are paramount, yes it is hardwork but equally rewarding.

Durnsford is such a fantastic, person-centered home which promotes dignity and respect for their residents. The homes staff are always so welcoming and can never be asked too much. The owner of Durnsford, Sue, is a remarkable lady who always has the residents best interest in mind. The home manager Rebecca has been extremely helpful, friendly and always at the end of the phone if there is every anything we need. Overall, Durnsford Lodge is full of diversity, kindness and importantly a passion for the care that they deliver.

I have worked at Durnsford Lodge for a total of 5 years and I honestly would not want to go anywhere else. The atmosphere is homely and all the staff have the residents needs and well being at heart. The residents are safe, happy and loved by everyone delivering their care. We are their second family and they are treated as such. A previous comment has absolutely appalled me and to be honest expected the lies and slander on a well functioning home, it was very apparent from the beginning that she did not hold Durnsford highest expectations of a senior ranking member of staff and feels the need to lie to cover up her own short comings. i did not expect anything less from this individual. To clarify we have not had 7 managers in 12 months nor is the home unclean and un-kept, anyone wanting to come and have a look around the premises would be welcome at any time of day or night. So please just ignore the previous comment as this is truly a wonderful home with a great team of individuals that deliver the highest possible quality of care to every individual living within the home or stepping inside the premises.

I cannot speak highly enough of the love and care shown to my Dad before he sadly passed away. The staff were fantastic treating my Dad with dignity and respect while catering for his complex needs. They were also great with Mum on her visits. Food and cleanliness were excellent andy it was a great comfort to us to know how well he was treated.

I have been working at Durnsford lodge for nearly a year. The best home I've worked in and the staff are lovely and welcoming. Residents are well looked after and active wise we have things on monday to friday and weekends we have things for them to do also. I would recommend Durnsford lodge to anyone. <3
