B. E.Only been here for a few days...so far: Great staff who are smiling and very welcoming every time. Mum is content and is happy.
R. W.I've worked at The Orchards since October 2020 and so many of the staff have been there for such a long time (some more than a decade!). The infection control measures in place are second to none and the housekeeping team keep everything so clean. The kitchen team have a wealth of knowledge and experience which means they are able to whip up delicious home cooked food to everyone's taste and according to their health needs. Staff get a free meal depending on their shift too, so we get just as spoilt as the residents! The care team are so dedicated. Everyone is treated with such dignity and respect, as you would want your loved one to be cared for, and the staff get to know everyone as an individual, and are very clued up on various health conditions such as dementia, diabetes, and stroke. We are like one big happy family which is amazing. There is a superb activities team and they are very innovative! Activities are on at least 6 days and they are tailored to the preferences of the residents. Recently we just opened up our in-house bar - Bottoms Up - and it went down a treat! The Orchards is well maintained by the maintenance team and the residents! Some of our residents like to help to maintain the garden whereas others will support the maintenance team as they do their safety checks around the building.
It is such a pleasure to work with all of these wonderful people, so much so that if one of my loved ones needed residential care, I would recommend that they come to The Orchards.
