I joined Assist Care Group 3 years ago, having come from 11 years at a corporate company in a completely different field. I was first told by a mortgage advisor that I had 3 options; buy a beach hut, get married or do shared ownership. I persevered… I’m so glad I changed my job. I’ve got to say it was the best decision I have ever made. Not just in one way, but many. I absolutely love my job now and couldn’t think of doing anything else and especially not with another company. Assist Care is a family run business and that is instilled into the whole staff team. I feel like we are one big family. There is an umbrella of two offices; Surrey and Sussex. We are completely intertwined, the same demographics, and the same “family” feeling. I feel very fortunate and proud to work for Assist Care. I set myself a goal during lockdown (since I wasn’t allowed to do anything but work) - save for a mortgage. And I did it!! Thanks to this company I managed to save enough to buy a flat ON MY OWN!!! A lot of hard work, but earning some serious money with a lot of overtime put in (and if you want it it’s available). I spoke to another mortgage advisor and he said it’s just 5x your salary - off we went! Without Assist Care this would not have happened! I still can’t believe it’s real! This company supported me to achieve my goal by providing a constant stream of work, and I got there, not only that, they really celebrated with me. You wouldn’t get that from a corporate company! Assist Care Group cares about not only their customers but also their staff, and about career progression; offering opportunities such as contracted hours / NVQs. We have a brillIant team and I am so thankful to be a part of it! I’m hoping to stay until retirement!

I just don't feel like I'm working, I feel I'm socialising with all the customers I have built trust and friendship with. I go to work happy and come home happy, with a warm and satisfied feeling I have helped others and made them smile/laugh, with the added bonus of a fantastic pay cheque every 4 weeks. The office staff are so accommodating, brilliant! They go to extreme lengths to keep customers and carers contented and happy, providing fantastic balance and loyalty equally between both parties. 17 years with this company, and I could never see myself anywhere else.
