We had a fantastic stay at Brecks Away. Information provided before arrival by Guy was very clear and well detailed. The accommodation was wonderfully presented throughout to a high, clean standard and well stocked with anything you might need during your stay. Sitting out on the front was very picturesque, we were even lucky enough to see the local owls in the evening.
The farm is ideally located - Near to York centre with a bus stop directly outside on the road, but still rural and well placed for walks out in nature.
We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to stay again. Many thanks to Guy and Tracey for having us!

Stunning eco-friendly cottages in beautiful quiet country location and only 10 mins drive from historic York. Tracey and Guy are so welcoming and thoughtful. We really enjoyed our hamper of local produce, milk, coffee and tea, the dog hamper was a lovely touch too. Farm shop, cafe and tasty authentic Indian takeaway all in walking distance. Out-of-town shopping centre only 5 mins drive away has cinema, tenpin bowling and many varied restaurants. The perfect location for a relaxing beak. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful place to start the year!! Everything about the cottage was incredible! The attention to detail was second to known. We were so impressed. Guy and Tracey had thought of everything. We felt so at home.
The location is perfect, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, while still having the luxury of a 10 min drive into central York. There is also a fairly large retail park 5 mins away if you fancy doing some shopping without going into city centre.
If you’re thinking of booking, stop thinking and book it. You won’t be disappointed. We will be back in the summer. I’m also booking it for my parents anniversary in April.

Hi - We couldn’t recommend Brecks Away Holiday Cottages enough, The whole place was spotlessly clean, Incredible attention to detail, Arrived to a fabulous welcome pack including fresh apple juice made from the farms own apples, no expense has been spared and no corners cut on quality.
We stayed in the Parlour for 4 nights, loved the chats with Vic and Ali who made us and Betty (our dog) very welcome, loved to hear the history of the farm from them. It was also lovely to meet guy who couldn’t help enough. Ideal central location for visits to York, Designer outlet, Countryside, Howard Castle and lots of lovely small Villages, too many to mention,
Thanks very much and looking forward to our next visit.
Daren, Margie and Betty.

Beautifully presented cottages in a really handy location. Kitted out with everything you need and more, including dressing gowns and an electric car charging point, as well as a lovely welcome pack. There are 5 cottages with differing number of bedrooms so there is bound to be one to suit. The cottages are in a great location for exploring York and surrounding area, with or without kids. They are also pretty eco friendly with eco friendly products supplied for washing up etc. The owners are super friendly and can’t do enough to ensure your stay is perfect. They have clearly put a lot of effort into making this a great place to stay. We are already trying to work out when we can come back so would definitely recommend.

Perfect holiday accommodation for exploring both the city of York and the Yorkshire countryside. We have stayed here twice and would definitely return. Guy and Tracey have created luxurious, comfortable and immaculate cottages which are so relaxing and welcoming. The abundance of wildlife is extraordinary and every care is being taken to nurture the environment of the farm. The location is brilliant with excellent bus connections directly into York, yet it is also peaceful and rural which was brilliant for our family and dog. We have always been made to feel really welcome and the personal touches make this a really special place to stay. Don’t hesitate to book !

We have just returned after a lovely and most welcoming stay at The Parlour, what a beautifully renovated cottage with exceptional attention to detail. The location is excellent with great places to visit feeling rural, yet close enough to amenities and road networks. Guy, Tracey and everyone have been the best of hosts, and genuinely care about ensuring our stay was special, highly recommend each of their cottages and will certainly return!

Brilliant spot - just outside of York, peaceful and quiet, but not too far away from anything! The Cow Kennels was a clean, spacious - peaceful, relaxing spot with lovely sunset views. 4 adults and 2 kids stayed very comfortably here - highly recommend!

We have just enjoyed a fabulous four nights in Cow Kennels.
The location is absolutely brilliant, so close to such a large verity of things to see and do, whilst still being far enough out to feel rural.
The property is beautiful and has been finished to a high standard, but it’s the little touches which make the real difference to other accommodation we have stayed in - the welcome box upon arrival, the home grown fresh flowers, the fresh eggs from their own chickens, the hooded child’s towel for our daughter and the warm welcome we received and continued to received throughout our stay.
Breaks Away, we will be back! Hopefully before too long.
Thank you so much for a lovely little break x
