Reviews of Belfast Metropolitan College
love the place, never out of it, such a modern and technologically advanced school in comparison to others.
Always excellent. Staff ever so friendly and kind and caring.
Absolutely the best college in Northern Ireland .
Excellent education facility
I'm going to talk about the English courses, which is the only thing I have taken there.
I took those that prepare for First and CAE and last a semester, and then take the corresponding exams at the center. In general they are good, at least at the price for EU students, now after Brexit I don't know their prices... The "general" price is very expensive.
These two were fine, normal English classes, very focused on exam exercises, although the CAE classroom was ridiculously small. These classes were face to face.
I also tried the Proficiency... I don't recommend this one at all. The teacher is a bully. If you answer what she doesn't want, she laughs at you or gets angry without any need. He told us one day that our answers to an exercise were all "stupid"... They weren't stupid, they were just wrong. How little capacity for empathy that woman has. No comments. In the end I left the course halfway, not wanting to, because I prioritized my mental health... Someone who says that if we have a problem in class, let's not talk to the head teacher but to her, on the first day, should have already made me jump. alarms. I didn't even intend to pass the exam, I just wanted to take the course... Really, very bad experience. When that lady retires, which I imagine won't be long, then maybe that level will be worth it.
I also did the CELTA. I did it 100% online due to Covid. Course "quite challenging, to say at least", but the teachers cooperated a lot and in the end I managed to pass it, also recommended, thank you very much Andrea and Jenny!
As for scholarships... Let's better draw a thick veil.
In the facilities, the library stands out, whose staff is the best in the center.
