My son has been having guitar lessons with Luke at Bolt music tuition for over 5 years, back when Luke used to provide home visits. Over the years Beau has built up a great rapport with Luke and he always enjoys his weekly lesson. Beau will often turn up to his lesson with a particular song he has heard and Luke is great at helping him learn how to play them. Luke also helped Beau achieve a merit on his rockschool grade 2 assessment by providing extra lessons in the week before the test. Overall Luke is a great musician who is very personable and makes every lesson fun for Beau. We would recommend Bolt music tuition to any budding guitar players.

Luke and his team at Bolt Music are just such a fantastic bunch. Our youngest son began guitar lessons with Luke a couple of years ago and is still going strong. We can't believe the speed of progress he's made. Luke is such a warm and fun teacher our son has so much fun exploring different genres of music and learning to play pieces he loves. A few times we've had to swap lessons about and our son has had Phil instead who is equally as talented and lovely. Sometimes they have jamming sessions with Luke on the drums and another teacher on base while our son improvs on his guitar - it's literally incredible! I could not recommend BOLT Music Tuition enough.

My son has been having guitar lessons at Bolt for 18 months and absolutely loves it. As a typical teenager, it would need a tsunami or tornado 🌪 type disaster to rise him from his bed at the weekend. However, not only is he ready but has requested further lessons during the week. The lessons have inspired him to audition at Colchester institute for professional musicianship in the new year. His teachers are all young and cool so he is able to relate to them and the music choices/ideas within the fully equipped studio. However i think they would be able to relate to all ages. Communication is great with Luke and I cannot rate them highly enough. 5 stars ✨

We started at bolt tuition a few months ago. Luke was incredibly accommodating and patient with our schedule, and we ended up with the right time. My son LOVES his lessons at bolt- he started with Phil who was great, and now has a regular slot with Luke, who is incredibly accomplished and a great teacher, and my son has improved massively under his guidance. This is in incredibly relaxed setting, that honours the students preference and ability. I would not even hesitate to recommend them!

Been with Luke for four to five years now. In that time I have seen him grow from providing home lessons to moving into his current studio base. They really look the business and reflect his professional attitude towards teaching the guitar. Luke is very down to earth and outgoing, he always comes with a positive attitude and will make you feel at ease. However, when it comes to the more serious end of the business, he will deliver. My daughter has weekly guitar lessons with Luke for over 4 years now. She has worked through grade books, learning theory along with scales. She tunes her own guitar and gets to choose songs she'd like to learn, with different genre, riffs or chords, Sometimes she plays the lead guitarist and often enjoys playing with Luke. During lockdowns she had her lessons via Skype and Luke helped her learn songs to play with her friend, suggesting different riffs and cords to harmonize. Luke has always tailored lessons to my daughters needs, encourages her, and makes lessons fun and enjoyable the half hour lesson flies by. We highly recommend Luke as a guitar teacher and feel very lucky to have found him.

Both of my children attend Bolt music tuition one for guitar and one for drums. My kids love their lessons. they play music they love and have fun in the lessons. As a working mum Luke has been really flexible moving lessons on line or looking for time slots where possible that work for us as well as him or other tutors. We have been using Bolt for several years and highly recommend them.

Luke is a great teacher, he has so much patience which is defiantly needed with me (I can't even remember my left and right). Despite my lack of coordination, I have learnt so much, I never thought I would be able to get the hang of chords but I am really getting there now. I always feel really comfortable in our lessons, and when I have not been able to make it in person, he has allowed me to switch to Zoom and done a really good job of making it work even if I was on mute for the first five minutes! I would thoroughly recommend Luke to friends and family, and feel he would be good teaching a complete novice like me to someone who would just like to brush up on their skills. Luke is also in a couple of bands and I have hired his band for an event I have soon. Overall, he is a great teacher with a very good sense of humor (also needed with me, and how terrible I was to begin with). I cannot wait to achieve my goal of being able to play a whole song on the guitar, and I don't think we are far off!
