C. R.I have been ridding at Park Stables since I was 16years old. Iv always gone back as all the staff are friendly, and well experienced with all the horse's. It's a perfect first starters off ridding school for everyone. The stables are so well kept and clean and tidy. It's a small family run business were you feel safe or you would want to escape too.
The owners are experienced horse people who just want everyone to be safe, and to have fun and for people to be who they want to be.
Park Stables is were I lose my self, let my hair down and be part of the team.

F.I’ve been going to the riding school for 3 years and I could never leave now. The entire stables is just so important to me. With it being family run, I feel much more included & I get to help out around the horses now that I have the experience. They’re incredible at teaching and I’ve progressed so much thanks to them. I can’t put it into the words I want to how unbelievably grateful I am for the stables coming into my life. The owners, Jess & Julie are just so sweet and look after their horses & riders incredibly. Anyone who comes here will not leave feeling as though they’ve been let down, simply put: you can’t. They make sure everyone’s comfortable & safe and only push you when they know you can make it. I did my first jumping show and I never, ever thought I’d be able to do it. Thank you to everyone at the stables you’ve done so much for me I don’t know how to ever repay you ❤️
Anyone looking to book lessons here, they’re open Saturdays & Sundays and are £25 per lesson - it’s a price worth paying for the unconditional support you’ll receive & the happiness you’ll feel upon arrival :)

L.Visited today so my friend could have a beginner horse ride lesson - something she's wanted to do for 25 years!
Jessica was friendly, welcoming and gave us lots of interesting facts about horses so really knows her stuff too! All of the horses looked extremely well looked after and had adequate space ect.

A. T.I have been riding at this riding school for 9 years now, it is a family run business who are very helpful and always happy to advice you on what is best for you and the horses. There horse are very well looked after and loved and treated like family, everything is done in the best interest for the horses and riders. Now I own my own horse which I keep at the riding school, where I am very happy knowing she is safe and if any problems I always have someone to help or talk too. I highly recommend this riding school to anyone who is looking into riding lessons or starting up again as they canter for all abilities.
C. H.Highly recommend Colchester Riding School. My daughter has been riding at the stables for over a year now and has gone from a complete novice to knowledgeable about horse welfare and tack and has confidence to try new things and ride solo (with close supervision as she’s only 6 ). I love the fact that every lesson is different and it’s a fab setting with direct access to beautiful woods.
My daughter has attended pony days and I feel so safe leaving her in the care of the Riding School.
I’ve introduced friends to the School as I know they will be given a warm welcome and made to feel part of the family.

T. O.We have used a few riding schools in the area and have found Colchester Riding School to be the best by far. The family running the school have a lifetime of invaluable riding and teaching experience. Riders safety is of paramount importance as is animal welfare. The lessons are diverse , fun, engaging and most importantly progressive. Our children have made amazing progress since starting in this safe and nurturing school.

She usually quits clubs after a few weeks but loves this place as it’s so family friendly and the instructors are very knowledgeable and patient. I have no hesitation recommending this riding school.
j. p.We are a friendly family business, teaching clients to manage , handle and ride horses in the correct safe way . We work very hard to ensure the safety of all our riders , although we are not BHS approved ( our prices reflect this ) we teach all our riders to ride the real deal(not robots) and hack out unaided . We are not RDA ! .but we try and to teach at the individuals pace building in confidence . Many of our riders have gone on to completing at showjumping Ect and even owning there own horses . The horse industry can be a hard cruel business and while trying to please everyone is impossible we work hard so you enjoy your time with us and keep you safe 🦄
