We have started Monkey Puzzle in the last month. Our child is shy and not forth coming with new people, taking their time to get to know them. From the start we have had nothing but positive experiences. The staff are friendly, thorough in the research on your child getting to know them before they start, making sure we as parents feel totally at ease with sending them into a whole new environment and the parent app used is amazing and keeps me at ease throughout the nursery days. Each day so far my child has happily gone into nursery, building a bond with the key worker and has come out happy. The facilities are vast, educational but also all about play for the children. Behind the scenes that back office staff are just as helpful, knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble. I cannot recommend Monkey Puzzle enough for a nursery setting and am so glad that we found them. They’re a great team and that is evident in how my child goes in and out each nursery day.

Such a friendly family feel, the staff always have time for both parents and children. My 1 year old son absolutely loves it at monkey puzzle he always runs in with a huge smile on his face, he loves his key worker and is always happy to spend time at nursery. He recently broke his leg whilst playing with his older brother and on his return to nursery I have felt 100% comfortable and have had no doubt that he is in the best care. 100% recommend MP Colchester!

My daughter enjoyed her nursery for 2½years and now she graduated and she had a lovely day with all her colleagues and friends partying and celebrating the event which was wonderful. Since our daughter started attending here, she's grown leaps and bounds. She's very social, her communication skills have improved drastically and she's always very happy to go in with never a tear in sight. Her key workers are amazing and we get frequent, relevant updates about her progress. My son loves going to Monkey Puzzle nursery in Colchester and he even wants to go on the days when he's at home! The new room for pre-schoolers is beautifully finished and spacious. The children always spend time outside no matter the weather. My son only joined 7 months ago after being at his last nursery for 2 years and he has settled in very quickly. He is very fond of his key workers who are friendly, affectionate and competent. The pre-school children learn some sign language and Spanish (even we can learn, as well as learning how to be independent. The teachers provide a weekly lesson plan in advance incorporating various events into their teaching. They provide updates on the app throughout the day as well as clear photos of your child. They have recently introduced tasty, freshly cooked food from a local company and reduced the frozen food components. I'm very happy with Monkey Puzzle and I wish we had moved here sooner. It's much better than our last nursery in London. Kudos to Mr & Mrs Sandhu and his team!

Our 3 year old joined the nursery in January 2021, having previously been to another nursery since she turned 1. We were a little anxious how easy it would be for her to adapt to a totally new environment, friends and teachers/nursery nurses. Our concerns were quickly erased by the warm, kind and exciting environment that Monkey Puzzle have worked hard to produce for everyone. My son started here in July 2020. After doing lots of looking around, this nursery was the most modern, clean, varied, friendly & communicative in the area. They’re very thorough with paperwork and keeping parents updated throughout the day and term. My son absolutely loves going into nursery and feels so happy and comfortable with his key worker and all the staff in his room. The activities and all the equipment the nursery put on for the children is amazing. The staff get to know the parents and children really well and if there’s any concerns or issues they’ll communicate well with parents. My daughter has been going to Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery since July 2020 after lockdown. We were looking for a nursery more local to our home and Monkey Puzzle ticked all the boxes! Friendly staff, clean facilities and the rooms looked to provide a fun, educational environment for the children. My daughter thoroughly enjoys going to nursery! Her confidence grows continuously and she learns something new every single time she attends! The nursery staff are all very professional and friendly and well trained and have been very accommodating to my daughters food allergies. She is always able to have good quality meals and snacks that do not differ too much from the other children. I also love that I am able to keep up to date with her day while I am at work through the Parentzone app. It makes my day knowing she is so looked after while I am at work. My son started at Monkey Puzzle in February this year. Both the management and the direct care staff are great. Sebastian has been made to feel so welcome and enjoys every day he is at nursery. As a parent away from home 3 days a week I am reassured by the care he receives. My son is at the nursery 5 days a week. Most days I am jealous of his menu at nursery. When we have had health issues with my son in regards to allergies the nursery have been responsive and supportive in making sure his needs are met. I have regular contact with Manjit and his team. The nursery have an open approach on all celebrations and he has been lucky to have birthday presents, Easter egg etc from the nursery. My son is always so tired when coming home from nursery. My niece attends this nursery, which was highly recommended to me after I decided that our current nursery in the area wasn't meeting our needs any longer. We have been with Monkey Puzzle for almost a year now, and I have to say I am super impressed with the staff, the activities, the resources and just the general attitude and approach to my child's care! They have been more than accommodating to me and my child which I am really grateful for - you wouldn't get that kind of service many places! It is really easy to speak to management and I have always found them really responsive and proactive! Often, they are asking the opinions of parents and carers to ensure they are meeting (and very often exceeding) expectations. My daughter has been going to Monkey Puzzle Colchester for the last 18 months since she was about 10 months old. She is absolutely thriving there and always excited to go. She has formed some lovely friendships as well as good relationships with all of the workers. The facilities are modern and clean and I was very impressed with this when we first looked around. The staff are very supportive of her and have good knowledge of child development so they are able to challenge her appropriately. We get regular feedback regarding what she has been doing each week and she gets regular detailed assessments of how she is getting on and developing. All the feedback comes back to us through the ParentZone app which is kept fully up to date by the staff and means we get to see photos of what she has been up to which is lovely. I am so pleased we chose Monkey Puzzle for our daughter and have every intention of her younger sister joining her there when she is a little older.

Our son joined Monkey Puzzle as one of the eldest children there, as we have just moved to the area. He adored his old nursery and so I was really quite nervous about him starting at a new place with new faces. However the team at Monkey Puzzle really helped put us ease and made the transition a stress free one. A family run business by parents who have young children themselves. All the staff are exceptionally warm and caring and take the time to talk about our daughters day, achievements and needs. The space is fantastic and fully equipped with everything our daughter needs to learn, play, be creative and have endless fun. We get updates daily via the parentzone app and I love looking through the gallery of her photos. Since returning back to nursery after lock-down our daughter is thriving and all at Monkey Puzzle have made it a safe environment without disruption or confusion for any of the children. I would highly recommended them to anyone.

He is excelling in everything since he started at Monkey Puzzle. The activities that they do are structured and vary every day. The children eat like Kings & Queens. The staff are so attentive to both your needs and your child’s. The bond that they make with your child is incredible. Excellent communication between staff and parents, including frequent daily updates via their Parentzone app, monthly newsletters, informative emails and effective handovers. Whenever I have a query or need some support, the manager is more than happy to assist where possible. My child is nearly at the age of moving to primary school and the staff at Monkey Puzzle have even provided me with support and information around this transition. We will be very sad to leave when we have to as this really is a well established, genuinely caring little family and I couldn't recommend them enough. Thank you!

Our Daughter has been going to Monkey Puzzle since they first opened. She absolutely loves it and is excited to go every day. During lockdown she was asking to go everyday. She has developed amazingly since being there and she comes home and teaches us the things she has learned. The staff and facilities are fantastic and there is constant two way feedback which, with the ParentZone app, is in real time as we can see things like nappy changes and meals as they happen with a summary of what they have done at the end of the day. We are both shift workers and the nursery has been very flexible and accommodating with the occasional short notice ad hoc session thrown into our normal routine. My daughter has been attending Monkey Puzzle, Stanway, since it opened. She loves coming to nursery, which is obvious as she gets so excited when we arrive, and the way in which she engages with the nursery workers, ie: holds her arms out for a cuddle when I drop her off. I have always found the staff to be very professional and accommodating! The service I receive feels personal; they can always provide me with a detailed description of what my child has been doing and how she has been generally, throughout the day. Additionally, the Director encourages feedback and regularly checks in with me to ensure that we are both happy. They provide lots of stimulating activities for the children, meaning my little girl is constantly learning and becoming more confident socially! Monkey Puzzle provide parents with daily updates on their children via an App, including details of sleeps, what they've eaten and what they've been up to, which is particularly comforting :) I recently changed jobs and considered finding a nursery closer to work. However after visiting a few different options, we made the decision to stick with Monkey Puzzle because in our opinion, there was no comparison; even though it considerably adds to my travel time! That said, I cannot recommend this nursery enough :-)

I'm so pleased I decided on Monkey Puzzle, I couldn't believe how quickly he settled in, and his progress in just three months is amazing. He's so much more vocal, working on so many words and sounds. He plays better at home and is definitely able to focus on things better. Our daughter attends Monkey Puzzle for 15 hours a week and really enjoys her time there. The staff are brilliant which has helped our shy daughter flourish in a new environment. The children are nurtured and given attention all day, not left to play alone like some nurseries. The nursery provides nutritious meals and snacks which even our picky eater enjoys. This nursery gives a feel of community to the children; there is so much care and support provided not only during the normal school day, but for birthdays, holidays, etc. The owners Manjit and Sandy are lovely and always available. They treat their staff with great respect and care, creating a better working environment for them which gives a greater environment for the children. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone, especially those attached parents, nervously looking for a nursery.

We have been really pleased with how well our son is settling in at Monkey Puzzle Colchester and we put this down to the staff who work very hard to meet the individual needs of the children attending. I can not recommend monkey puzzle enough. All our worries were swept away in a week, the teachers are amazing, The classrooms are clean and tidy, equipment is well looked after, communication between teachers and parents is excellent. For us the most important thing was that our little one can settle in easily and wouldn’t feel left out because of Language barriers, but the teachers are skilled and helpful. They pay so much attention to each child individually and they also teach them to play in teams and last but not least the owners are always there too, every day making sure every child and parent is happy. We will be sad to leave when its time for school.

My daughter started at monkey puzzle when they first opened and has now last week graduated, she loved every minute of being at nursery and still now wakes up saying can I go to nursery today, all staff at the nursery have always been incredibly friendly and supportive since day one, they have fun and educational activities which she has always enjoyed, especially expressing her love to perform with singing and dancing, they have a well balanced meal plan and as a parent can see everything my child does and eats in a day through the parent zone app which is very helpful.
