Today we graduated from our baby sign group. 🎓 TinyTalk Baby Signing - Colchester and Tendring (for now anyway, we will be back.)
We have come away with fenton able to do 5 signs and loads more that he recognises at only 8months old .❤️ Mummy's little super star 🌟
Anyone who's ever thought about doing this group. I can't recommend it enough. Early baby stages have been made so much easier with some of the signs we have learnt. And the lovely Kate who does the group is just amazing, so lovely, friendly and amazing with the babies I wish it was around for my other 2 when they were younger ❤️

I’m not sure what I was expecting when I booked this class… but it far exceeded my expectations!
The class is perfectly structured and my daughter loves it!
Kate is warm and down to earth, all the babies are welcomed and comfortable.
It’s my favourite class by a mile !
Thank you for the fun and giggles 💖

Myself and my daughter attended in person classes from when she was 7 weeks. We only attended two classes before we went into National lockdown. After this we attended online classes each week, this enabled us structure and added routine to our day. We incorporated baby sign into our day to day routine and it kept us busy. For myself personally, I looked forward to our online classes each week, just seeing others (even if on screen) was lovely and reassuring during such uncertain times. Kate was always amazing and kept us all upbeat during classes. She gave us plenty of time to chat and share our thoughts, feelings and concerns during the pandemic which each gave us reassurance.
My daughter always responded well to Kate on screen and loved to see her and Ted each week. Now we have finally got back to in person classes, she can’t quite believe that ‘TinyTalk Kate and Ted’ are real and don’t just live in our TV.
My daughters language astounds me as she has very clear words and understands so much already and I truly believe that TinyTalk has played a huge part in her developing language. She signs often and I believe that, had she not have attended this class, I would not have recognised her cues or what she wanted as easy when she was a tiny baby. And I honestly do not know how new parents can fully understand their babies without baby sign.
I truly have loved and continue to love our TinyTalk journey. I’m a super proud mum and without TinyTalk and TinyTalk Kate, my daughters social skills, communication and language would not be where it is now.

We have known Kate and Tinytalk for years now. We loved the baby signing classes and learnt so much. It really helped me as a first time mum understand my child more and helped her to express herself more. We have just completed our first term of talking toddlers and absolutely love it. Even with Covid restrictions in place it is a fully interactive class full of fun and engaging activities and the added bonus of signs! I truly don’t even think my daughter realises she is learning these new signs as she’s too busy having fun, yet can recall the signs and use them in context. Kate is an amazing teacher, a friendly, caring and kind person who you can see is clearly passionate about her work. Tinytalk classes are amazing sessions and so so beneficial! We can’t wait to go back again next term.

This is a wonderful class to attend! My daughter and I first started TinyTalk during the first lockdown which was online classes at the time and even though it wasn't in person we had so much fun and learnt loads. Now we are able to have in person classes (being covid safe) and have moved onto the Toddler Talking classes. Kate is an amazing teacher and has great energy during the class. I can't recommend it enough if you are looking at signing classes specifically or a group to join that is fun as well as learning!

I began Tiny Talk online during lockdown and didn't originally think an online class would make much impact on my 7 month old but within a couple of months she was doing her first signs! The classes were so engaging and lively and the teachers make it so personal to all the children attending.
As soon as face to face classes started we switched over and I was so pleased with the safety measures in place and live classes had the same fun and energy as online.
We have now been signing for 6 months and couldn't recommend the classes enough. Kate and Nic are absolutely brilliant and my little girl is learning so much and is able to communicate with us despite not even saying her first word yet!

My daughter and I have been “attending” Kate’s online TinyTalk classes since she was around 5 months old. Kate is very vibrant and always engages with the babies through the screen; my daughter loves class. We got our first sign when Theia was 8 months old and now she’s just achieved her 25 signs certificate at 15 months old. Kate’s classes are fun and I would definitely recommend them. We can’t wait to attend classes in- person! Thank you Kate, signing is now part of our everyday life!

An amazing class which my little one and I both enjoy. Kate is a wonderful teacher. We joined the new born and baby classes, it’s been lovely watching my little one learn the signs and it has been great for me as I feel I’ve been learning something new each week too.

TinyTalk is quite simply amazing. My son had only just enrolled on the Baby Signing classes. TinyTalk TV has meant that I am able to join in with his classes and learn signs for myself.
Kate is an amazing teacher who clearly has a strong passion for what she does. Even through my laptop her enthusiasm fills the room! It is nice to be able to communicate with Kate and all of the other members of the group through messages. The social side to the sessions is a big help too. It’s such a comfort to know that other parents are going through the same as you. As much as I don’t want to be stuck at home, we really look forward to our weekly signing session with Kate!

I cannot recommend Kate’s Tiny Talk highly enough. Despite only ever having attended the virtual sessions (due to COVID) we were made to feel super welcome right from our first week. It’s great to be able to teach our little one how to communicate effectively before she is able to form proper words - as a result, as a family we are so much more relaxed knowing that we can understand what she wants. The songs and activities keep things fun and engaging for the little ones. And it’s great to have some interaction with other parents/families as well. Absolute highlight of our week!

My son has been having trouble communicating with me (he’s nearly 2) and so we started Tiny Talk to see if this would help.
It’s worked!
The other day my son signed ‘green’ to me and gave me a green ball. He’s never ever been able to show me colours before and I nearly cried! Today he signed ‘love’ in reply to me saying ‘I love you’.
This is all Kate! She is absolutely incredible! She’s kind, caring, knowledgeable and so much fun.
My son absolutely loves her and gets excited every week when we go.
Be quick though cause spaces go really quickly! We were on the waiting list for a couple of months so get on it straight away 💙

I was not aware of baby sign language before I had my daughter 5years ago. Through word of mouth I heard about TinyTalk and Kate. The group was very friendly, the classes are enjoyable for the children and very informative for the grownups. The skills I learn at the classes continue to help and support the communication with my children. Even know that my daughter is fully verbal, she still uses her sign language skills. My son (16 months) has less meltdowns because he is able to communicate his needs. I can not recommend TinyTalk enough. And Kate at Colchester and Tendring is just fabulous!

We have been going to Tiny Talk for a number of terms now and still absolutely love it! We love the structure of the groups, they are a balance of stimulation, songs, and signing for the little ones, then playtime and coffee and a chat for us Mummies. Kate is so wonderful and engaging, my daughter loves her and gets so excited each week when we arrive. Would highly recommend, its the one group we’ve continued with since I was first on maternity leave and my daughter is 15 months now.

We have been taking our little boy to Kate’s TinyTalk classes since he was 6 months, and he’s now 22 months old. Our son is currently on 113 signs, and his progress has blown us away. It’s all down to Kate’s classes. He has learnt how to express his wants and feelings without getting frustrated. Plus I enjoy the classes as I get to chat with other parents of children the same age, with a cup of tea, while my son plays with his peers. It’s an amazing class, and I can not recommend it enough.

Kate's classes have revolutionised parenting for me for the following reasons:
1)My boys loved her classes. They were happy to get in the car to go to class so the mornings we had classes were really nice.
2) My boys and I can communicate so much more clearly with signs and language since attending classes. My 2.5year old still signs to his little brother, 1y, who can sign back sometimes but definitely understands him. This has really helped their bond.
3) I knew when my baby wanted *milk* was *full up* when he wanted *more* etc. From a much earlier age than if we hadn't signed.
4) I made a very good friend on my first session, our babies were the same age and we were there for each other on WhatsApp 24/7. This was all thanks to the social time aspect of the class. Motherhood is hard, taking children to classes is hard sometimes but the tea, biscuit, chat and watching the babies enough playing whilst we did so was lovely!!!
Highly recommend Tiny Talk fun for everyone!

Alice and I are just 2 weeks into our newborn class with Kate and we really love having the time out of the house together. We particularly enjoy the songs each week and have been practising the signs at home. It's amazing how much she is interacting with us since starting the classes!

Our Daughter thoroughly enjoys coming to Tiny Talk! It's been such a wonderful opportunity to watch her enjoy the songs, signs and playing with her new Tiny Talk friends. No two weeks are the same and Tiny Talk provides our daughter with new and exciting stimulus each week.
The Tiny Talk staff are so kind, caring and always have big smiles on their faces. We really enjoy speaking with Nic each week and think its lovely that she makes time each session to talk with every parent(s) and baby.
The facilities are fantastic with bright and exciting surroundings as well as baby changing facilities, tea/coffee and of course the biscuits!!
We look forward to each session and can't wait to attend more terms and watch our Daughter learn and grow with the help from Nic and the rest of the Tiny Talk team.

Cannot recommend highly enough! The classes are great and cover everything I needed for my baby and myself! We are both learning so much! My baby signed her first sign at 5 months!
I found myself feeling very anxious about starting baby groups but this one made me feel at home right away, Kate was so warm and welcoming and the other mums were lovely but most importantly my baby absolutely loved it, there’s singing and stories and instruments and bubbles, there’s toys and dancing and of course lots to learn, and the tiny talk smiles are immense!
After the signing there’s social time where you GET MADE a drink (as any parent knows this is a huge deal! Someone actually making you a drink!) and have a biscuit, and the children get to play with lots of toys (also great to try before you buy, it was here I discovered my baby LOVES cars!). And parents can have a chat and chill out for a bit.
My baby literally gets so excited when I sing the tiny talk song and sign it to let her know we’re going, and I look forward to going every week, it really is our favorite day of the week!

Jacob (my 18 month old) and I have been attending TinyTalk since November 2018 and we absolutely love it! Kate is a brilliant teacher and creates a very welcoming, relaxed atmosphere but also brings lots of energy and fun to each session.
Kate really knows how to engage everyone and always has a smile. You can see that being a mum herself definitely helps as she just gets it.
Jacob has already learnt so much and always seems to enjoy each class we attend. With Kate, nothing is too much trouble. She is always happy to answer any questions you have, goes above and beyond helping you, even outside class hours. Kate's completely committed to her classes and really knows her stuff.
Not only do we look forward to attending every week to learn lots of new signs, but we look forward to the songs and playtime as well. From my POV, I also really look forward to having some "down time" having a coffee and a chat with the other mummy's whilst the babies play. You don't really have this in many baby/toddler classes to actually socialise and feel like you exist again, but here we do and it makes so much of a difference.
Great classes, great teacher, can't ask for much more 😊 (just wish I joined sooner!)

Amazing class amazing teacher. Just amazing. Kate is an absolute legend of a teacher. Giving her time to all of her babies and parents. She even provides tea and biscuits for social time when the kids play! A hot cuppa what more could you ask for .Definitely give it a go You won't be sorry you did. We haven't. My boy started at 5 weeks old and now he's nearly a year and has learnt 3 signs already. Which definitely helps me. When I don't know what he wants. 😉

We started our first term in January, and I’ve just rebooked for a second term. Kate is amazing and my little one has so much fun. Would 100% recommend.

Every Monday at 11:15am, we sit ready to learn, sing and play with our lovely Nicola. It’s taken a slight turn since our lockdown and now on the big screen in my living room but she does a fab job. Jack loves her, watches intently, taking everything in. We learn easy signs to help your child communicate with you before they’re able to speak. I’d highly recommend the class, be it on screen at home or at the class once we’re allowed out again! Take a look at their page xxx

TinyTalk is a fabulous way to interact with your baby and develop their communication and sensory skills. Each session is carefully planned to ensure structure, engagement and fun is had by all.
Our session leader, Nic welcomes us with a friendly smile and makes us feel at ease through the sessions.
This is a fantastic way to meet like minded parents - and the cuppa tea and biscuits is just the top up needed.
During these difficult times, the TinyTalk team have worked tirelessly to bring their sessions online for us all to continue enjoying; a stamp of their dedication to us parents and our little ones. These sessions are running at the cheaper price, but are still jam packed with what you would usually get from a face to face session. Easily access through a secure group Facebool page, get involved!

Wonderful class with a wonderful teacher! It’s fun yet informative, and I feel that both me and my baby are learning something tangible and long lasting, together. Friendly classes that build in a bit of social time thereby promoting parental peer support that we all need from time to time. Absolutely recommend this class - we love it! 💙

Kate who runs Tiny talk in Colchester is absolutely fantastic. I have been taking my son since he was 8 weeks old and it has made communication with him so much easier.

I have been speaking to my friends about this class, it’s fun, friendly and will always learn something new! My Poppy enjoys it and so do I! We are well on our way in learning how to sign to improve and aid communication. Always looking forward to attending this class.

This class has helped my once medically non verbal son, communicate not only through signing (of which he has 30+!) but with his voice. He loves coming every week and Kate makes a cracking cup of tea

Nic was great fun and such a calm person, great with babies. Would definitely recommend it to other moms.
