G. S.I highly recommend Derby School Music, I have been learning violin for almost 3 years now and I have learned a lot. My Violin teacher, Miss Marika, is perfectly splendid and very talented. My husband is also learning piano and have very good teacher too, Martin and Paul.

The piano teacher is very surportive and makes the lessons great fun. My daughter loves her lessons and it is the highlight of her week. The guitar lessons are amazing. The guitar teacher is very easy to get on with and makes the lessons interesting and enjoyable.
I know they also teach other instruments such as piano and singing. My friend has piano lessons with one of the other teachers and he has improved dramatically , so I assume the teacher is doing a great job with him.
They are very reasonably priced, in all honesty they could charge more for the service they provide.

M. M.I've been learning piano with the music school for several years now. When I first started I couldn't read music and as I am a pensioner was very apprehensive about starting lessons so late in life .However the teacher Steve has been great and I am playing all the songs I love. The lessons have really built my confidence and I would recommend learning an instrument to anyone, old or young.

Very friendly and professional atmosphere. Many of my kids friends also go here for lessons. L. J.I've been having lessons here for some time now and have been working towards my ABRSM diploma in piano. When I was looking for a teacher many private 'piano teachers' were telling me they could only teach up to grade 5, I found the reason was that they were effectively only amateurs themselves, with only a grade 8 to their name. My teacher here is amazing and has given me the confidence and technical knowledge I needed to pass my exam easily. I am now working towards a higher level diploma with the aim of becoming a piano teacher myself in the future. I rate the tuition here as exemplary.

Although I have some previous singing experience, I was amazed by how much my vocal has improved since starting lessons. The techniques I have been shown and the way it is explained to me is superb.
