D. B.I have been playing keyboard, organ and piano since 1992 and still thoroughly enjoy it! Thanks to Trudy, Gail and Gemma's hard work through the years, and their friendly approach to music learning and collaboration, their music school has to be the best that Derbyshire has to offer.
Studying music in school or through exam boards can suck the fun out of playing and enjoying music which is why most people end up sadly giving it up. But that is far from what you will experience with Yamaha Music School Derby.
My time with them has also been sociable outside of classes and exams, I am still in close touch with fellow musicians. Whatever your level and motivation is with music, you'll be in great hands here, enjoy!

Charli started with Gemma as a shy girl - not confident in her ability and often too introvert to play in front of anyone.
Her musical ability has come on leaps and bounds and we are over the moon that Charli has just passed her grade two with Merit.
But more so she has found her inner confidence with the guidance of Gemma - so much so she played for an assembly in front of her school.
Charli loves and relishes her lessons and thrives in the group environment where she has formed bonds and made firm friends.
I would whole heartedly recommend Gemma and Yamaha they have worked wonders for my daughter.
