Following my son’s entry into secondary school I became aware he desperately needed support with his English understanding and academic confidence. He is bright and mature but I became aware he lacked the key knowledge that would allow him to flourish academically, I felt my lack of expertise and involvement was damaging his confidence further. Kip offered my son a logical learning structure which built his comprehension and critical understanding and also demonstrated how to tackle each English skill area successfully. The Kip teaching team were experienced, incredibly supportive and were able to quickly locate and teach the missing skills and knowledge. The Kip centre was able to offer palatable lessons at a convenient time for us. The whole experience has led to a positive outcome which is benefitting my son long-term.

Please don’t be put of by the location of this education centre, there is free parking and from the minute you walk through the door you receive a warm welcome from Dave, Sue and all the children. My son initially went for extra tuition in Maths, but also ended up receiving tuition in English. Kip not only provided the extra tuition but Sue and Dave also worked to improve his confidence in these subjects. The result (based on his last mocks) was a 2 grade improvement in Maths and a 4 grade improvement in English. I can’t thank Sue and Dave enough for their help.

I genuinely can not thank Kip Mcgraph Derby South enough. My son has Dyselxia and before coming here struggled to read and write. The help, guidance and patience given to him is consistent. My son is now able to complete his English work at school without additional help and if struggling get support each week from the teachers here. 5 stars is not enough 😊😊

We signed up for Kip Online in May 2020 just as lockdown had started. My daughter really enjoyed the weekly lessons with Helen and despite being only 7, she was engaged in the work and looked forward to the lessons each week. She has a mixture of Maths and English lessons and they are broken down into short lessons within the hour that keeps her engaged. She returned to school in September and her academic ability had improved despite missing out on 4 months of school. She now continues to have lessons with Kip online. She always disliked Maths and struggled to grasp it but now her maths ability astounds us. She even tells us she likes maths, and we were told at parents evening in October that she had recently scored high in a maths test compared with her peers in the class. We have also noticed that her confidence has increased at school and believe that Kip tutoring has aided with this because she is more confident in her abilities. She understands math concepts well and the one-to-one online support gives her the academic boost she needed.

My daughter enjoyed her face to face sessions at KIP with Sue; she can be hard to engage sometimes but when she is taught by Sue she is highly motivated to learn - which is a joy to see. Since lock down and the introduction of online lessons she now looks forward to these too, and she is always upbeat and positive afterwards. We're very happy with service.
