This trainer is likely one of the best in England if not the UK. I will be looking to book some private time with him and bring up my skill level in the future. He will take you through boxing then basic kicks and wrestling and has a brilliant teaching method. To help each individual develop their technique. Ive trained all over the world and no one impressed me as much as Mick. He's also an Olympian Silver medallist among many other accolades. Highly Recommended!!!!!!

I have trained in the past at many Martial Art Schools and been on more than numerous seminars.
This has enabled me to know who is excellent, good, not good and a pretender. Mick Shore's is on the list of excellence as he has dedicated his life to bring to Doncaster authentic Jeep Kune Do, Filipino and Malaysian Martial Arts. Added to the mix is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Savate and Catch Can Wrestling.
Mick has excelled in these arts as he has been trained by the best, like Sifu Larry Hartsell who was one of Bruce Lee's original students.
What you get at the Academy is Real World Arts, Authenticity and Integrity. Thus, all built by hard work, dedication and skill. No one else is teaching what Mick is and has the passion he and his instructors have. Period.

I tried Brazilian jiu-jitsu at two other venues before finding Shores Academy of martial arts. Professor Mick actually coaches rather than just instructs he builds week on week and gives you a firm understanding of the techniques and their application. Other places prefer to give instruction and let you get on with it. All of the members of the Academy are very welcoming and friendly and they go out of their way to help you whenever they can. Having been around top level Sport and worked in professional Sport and having a degree in sports coaching I can happily say that you are in safe hands to enjoy your journey in Brazilian jiu jitsu with Professor Mick.

A great martial arts gym, with an instructor who has a huge wealth of knowledge and experience in a wide range of martial arts disciplines. A friendly and non threatening environment. I highly recommend this gym if your wanting to learn self defence and keep fit.

I've know Mick Shore for over 20 years now but only trained with him a few years ago. I had private lessons with him mainly in Meet Kune Do (JKD) and then Sayoc Kali classes on an evening. What he doesn't know isn't worth knowing. How he does it I will never know. He's a 'surgeon' of his arts. His knowledge is impressive. I loved knowing the history behind the arts too. I think it's very important to know this. If you're lucky enough to live near Doncaster then Mick Shore's Accademy is the choice for you. Unlike some academies, his motivation isn't about just selling belts. A true black belt is a true black belt with Mick Shore...

Very good trainings. Rare martial arts including silat, kali, Filipino boxing or sombo are included in classes with western boxing, Thai boxing, Jeet Kune Do, or Brazilian ji jitsu. All classes are good for beginners and advanced learners too.
If you like sparring, you know where to go...

An amazing welcoming place with instructors that have great knowledge and are more than happy to help. The best place I've been to do martial arts would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get started.
