I studied at this school from December 2021 to January 2022. The teachers were very kind and patient in their lessons. I was impressed by the principal who taught me that it is important not only to learn a language but also to deepen mutual understanding in different cultures. Edinburgh is a safe and beautiful city, and it is a great place to study. I would highly recommend this school.

Last year I visited ECSScotland for two weeks. I liked it very much- the humerous and experienced teachers, the familiar setting, the athmosphere, the class, to meet people from all over the world, the excursions and....- it was great fun and I learned a lot. So I decided to come back this year. Now I had to say good buy a second time and it could be I will become addicted to ECSScotland and Edinburgh.....

*Japanese version is also available below* I stayed more than four months in the principal house during lockdown. It might haven't the best time to study abroad though, the princpal and teachers did everything they could do for me. Thanks to them, I had the best study abroad I' ve ever had even in the difficult time. They cooked me delicious Scottish food, told me their fascinating culture, took me to many beautiful places and gave me opportunities to talk to other people as much as they could. (They introduced me to their friends (relatives and relatives!) I highly recommend this school to people who look for a school which adds a personal touch. Thank you for everything! Due to the lockdown, I stayed at the principal's home for over 4 months. It may not have been the best environment to study abroad, but the principal and Ukata did everything they could for me. Thanks to everyone, despite the current situation, it was the most fun and fulfilling language study abroad experience I have ever had. They cooked me delicious Scottish food, taught me about traditions and culture, took me to beautiful sightseeing spots, and gave me opportunities to talk with many different people. (They even introduced us to their friends and relatives!) I can wholeheartedly recommend this school to anyone looking for a school that provides attentive, warm, and personalized lessons. Thank you so much for everything!

Family school located in the center of Edinburgh's New Town. Friendly and professional treatment. I chose this school because it allowed intensive courses of only one week and because it is focused on adults. Groups are a maximum of five people and you have the option of doing personalized 1-to-1 sessions. There is a weekly excursion. The teachers are very friendly and cordial. Overall, very good experience.

Every time I visit Edinburgh I study at ECS Scotland for a few weeks. The city is beautiful, Scottish people are friendly. The school is in a good location in the centre and has a nice family atmosphere. Classes are small with 3 or maximum 5 students, this means you learn much and teachers give you time to talk and I had many interesting conversations with people. My schoolmates was from Czech, Italy, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Spain and Thailand. I am happy with this school and will study again next time I will be in Edinburgh.

It was an incredible experience to be again in Edinburgh. Thank you very much for the wonderful time in the ECS! People are very friendly and the atmosphere in the school is really positive and familiar. The teachers gave me such a comfortable feeling in the class and they are skill in their job and they love to do their job. The location of the school is excellent in the center of Edinburgh. I really miss this school and hopefully I have opportunity to get there again to study English in ECS.

Spent 4 weeks at the school and had great time. ECS is small, family-run school located in very centre of beautiful Edinburgh. Since groups are small (5 maximum, 3-4 on average) one can fully take advantage of the course. And while it’s school for adults, there is no risk you will find yourself surrounding by teenagers. Teachers are nice, have great sense of humour, provide plenty of useful information about the city and Scotland and by chance they… speak English. Highly recommended!

I studied for several months at this school. I met lots of people from different countries, and studied not only English but also differences of culture. You can go on an excursion and visit a local place every Wednesday. It's a great experience to know real Edinburgh. My host families and teachers were very kind, friendly and helpful. The ECS Scotland School has a perfect daily planning organised for learning and practising English for all time. ECS Scotland is a wonderful school to study and improve your English! You work in small groups and this is great because you can ask questions and work better! During the morning break you can also meet new people and chat with them. And the weekly trip is awesome: an amazing experience to improve your English more and more!

STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!!! I selected 5 stars just because is not possible to click 6. I have spent 2 months in the school and it was the best experience of my life. The most beautiful thing is that there is an amazing atmosphere in the school! Everybody is selected from the management is polite and friendly, so it's really easy to meet new friends from worldwide. Really useful the breaks in the morning and afternoon, because is possible to have many interesting chats with everyone is in the living room. The quality of teachers is excellent: I had almost every teacher staying for a long time, and I learnt a lot from all of them, also because they correct you in a very friendly way! The IELTS course is particularly recommended: I was terrified by the idea of doing the exam before coming in Edinburgh, but at the end of the course I did the exam really prepared and so convinced that it was impossible to fail. We focused in deep on listening,writing,reading and speaking either in the morning or in the afternoon. Finally, groups are composed by 5 PEOPLE AT MOST! and it's really easy to learn and speak continuously, feeling part of the lesson as well. Moreover, teachers suggest several sites and items to study on your own once you are back in your country. Really recommended host families as well! They are all families in which you'd like to live for the rest of your life! I miss ECS SCOTLAND a lot! I will definitely come back!! Gianluca

I really enjoyed my stay in Edimburgh, mainly because of the reliability and the hospitality of the School. It was great in every his aspect: organization of the courses, teachers, excursions and host family. It is my first experience in a English school and so it represents for me a nice surprise. I think that my english is improved even if i spent in Edimburgh only 2 weeks. Time went fast because i had fun!
