I started attending lessons at an intermediate level at SALT about 5 years ago and I never stopped! Jorge is a great teacher and very passionate about teaching. Even with covid and the necessity to move to online classes, he's managed to keep the lessons interesting and lively by always looking for new learning materials and supports. I can only recommend SALT if you are looking to learn and/or improve your spanish!

I am a current student with SALT, and I have improved my Spanish a lot since beginning to study here. The classes are enjoyable and well structured, and are designed to help you to develop skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking the language. For me, the opportunities to practice my conversational skills have been particularly useful. The teachers help create a nice learning environment, and are friendly, patient, and enthusiastic. They are also very good at explaining difficult concepts. In addition to the lessons, SALT also offers students access to a DVD library of Spanish language films, and information about each week's class is provided online should you miss a lesson. I hope to continue to study with SALT, and highly recommend the classes to others who have an interest in learning Spanish in Edinburgh.

SALT Edinburgh is the best place to learn Spanish in Edinburgh. I've been going for their courses for a number of semesters now and really enjoyed it. Some of the assets of the school are great teachers who develop a really friendly relation with the students, interesting and diverse class content and small class sizes. Additionally, SALT have a great DVD library full of Spanish movies and also organise group outings to different cultural events. Highly recommended!

I have been going to SALT since 2012 and I have only positive feedback to share. The teachers are native speakers which makes the experience of learning Spanish very real. The student groups are small and the teacher has enough time to let everyone speak up and exercise their Spanish. Additionally, the courses are affordable and indeed better priced than many other places in Edinburgh.

I am almost finishing my second module at SALT and I couldn't be more pleased with it. It was a lot of help, my spanish improved a lot in quite a short time. I like the size of the classes, easy and fun to learn. The people are very nice, made friends and enjoyed the multicultural environment.

I started learning Spanish as a complete beginner and have now completed 10 terms over 3 years. The standard of tuiton from highly qualified native Spanish speaking teachers has been very high throughout. The classes have been entertaining, never boring, which is great for motivation. I now have a reasonable grasp of Spanish. There has never been more than 10 students in my classes, frequently less, which gives everyone an input. Looking forward to continuing my studies with Advanced and Proficient classes.

I studied at SALT from Beginner to Upper-Intermediate and I intend on going back to complete the courses. The teachers are knowledgable and passionate - which is very important. This makes the lessons enjoyable and there is a good balance of writing/ speaking/ listening exercises.

Jorge was the most supportive and encouraging teacher! I had private tuition in order to pass a SIELE exam, and Jorge made sure that I was prepared in all necessary aspects, providing a wide range of materials and resources (both reading and oral) - there is no way I would have passed without him! He explained everything very clearly, bringing clarity to a lot of grammar rules I had previously not understood.
