My daughter has been attending Rachel's classes for 2 years and I cannot rate them highly enough. Rachel always makes the classes so fun and engaging. It's amazing to see how much the children learn and use what they learn. I also very much enjoy attending the classes with my daughter and seeing her learn so much whilst having such fun. Props, songs, dances, activities, signing Rachel always keeps things fun and interesting and we love the different topics and how they are adapted into each season, Christmas, Easter, Halloween etc, the themes are endless. The best way for young children to learn another language.

My 2 girls have been attending Rachel’s classes since they started! I highly recommend them as a fun and inclusive way for kids to learn Spanish. The classes are so well structured and so much fun! Rachel is always incredibly enthusiastic and is so good at getting the best out of the children. She always goes the extra mile with fabulous class props and she also hosts seasonal parties that’s the kids absolutely adore! Highly recommended.

Best class ever!!! I go with my 4 year old son and 1year old daughter...fun for both of them, plus it gives me time to have quality time with them. Our daughter loves the music and songs. She is the biggest groupie Rachel could have and is always at the front swaying to the songs. Meanwhile our son is loving the social side of the classes. He surprises us weekly with outbreaks of Spanish counting and singing while just pottering around the house. I honestly love this class so much, it is the highlight of our week. Rachel is amazing and I can't thank her enough for all that she does.

Both my 3 and 10 year old are learning Spanish with Rachel. I have been taking my 3 year old to the Friday class and we are both loving it! it is FUN and educational! My children have been attending Estrellas Brillantes classes with Rachel for nearly 5 years now. Both of my children will come out with Spanish phrases, songs and vocabulary in such a natural way and have lots of confidence in joining in and responding in Spanish. They love the classes because Rachel makes them fun and interactive, and the pace of learning is perfect. The books and music that accompany the classes are ideal for reinforcing the learning and also for the children to share with us what they've learned. Rachel is a brilliant teacher who gets to know every pupil and they all love her!

Both of my children (4 year old and 1 year old) have been going to Rachel’s Friday morning Spanish class since last summer and they both love it! Both children really enjoy the interactive nature of the class, and will often sing the songs they have learned at home throughout the week. It has been amazing to see how quickly they have picked up Spanish phrases and words, and this is all down to Rachel’s teaching approach and the engaging resources that she uses. They also love the play time at the end of each class - this is also great for getting the chance to chat to other parents who attend the class. My daughter has been attending for three years and my son for one. They both have lots of fun at classes. I've often heard them singing the songs from class to themselves. Rachel is a fantastic teacher. The lessons have made my kids confident to try language even if the words are sometimes tricky. Rachel makes so much effort for classes including special events at the end of term. I will always remember how Rachel stayed connected to the children through lockdown. Rachel is a fantastic and extremely enthusiastic Spanish teacher. She is so good with the children and she always makes learning Spanish so much fun for them. My nine year old son and my ten year old daughter have been attending for a number of years now and it’s amazing how much they take in. Rachel uses makaton signs to help the children remember the words and she uses bubbles, soft toys, a big parachute and other props in her games to make the classes interesting and enjoyable and most of all fun! She also teaches the children lots of songs which have really catchy tunes, and so the kids have a lot of success learning Spanish this way, along to the music. During the Covid restrictions, the kids classes were on zoom and worked really well. Rachel made them interactive so the kids could draw on the whiteboard and answer online quizzes as well as filling in their hard copy workbooks. Rachel has so much patience with the children and I would thoroughly recommend Rachel’s Spanish classes to anyone who would like their kids to learn Spanish. I would also highly recommend her adult classes too, which I have been attending for years!

We have loved Rachel's Spanish classes. Each class is well organised and includes new, fun activities and vocabulary. Rachel makes a real effort to have different themes every week, with songs and games. My son has really come out of his shell and really enjoys attending! Would recommend to all ages! Rachel’s Spanish classes are fabulous! My eldest son has been attending for over 4 years now and my younger son for 2 years. She is organised, engaging, energetic and creative in her teaching. Rachel adapted during lockdown so that lessons could continue and utilised technology to provide interactive and fun sessions while face to face teaching was not possible. I am so thankful to Rachel for making the learning of a language fun and enjoyable for my two sons, and couldn’t recommend her highly enough ❤️

I volunteered weekly at Rachel’s spanish classes and helped out at her fundraisers. I had such a fun time working with Rachel and she taught me so much. Her enthusiasm is infectious and her passion for teaching Spanish is clearly visible through each class, encouraging others to advance with language skills. She created a welcoming and educational environment for both adults and children. This allowed me to comfortably enhance my leadership skills as she gave me the space to do this. Not only does Rachel’s teaching methods benefit those in the class, however, they massively helped to improve my language skills as her practical teaching methods allow you to improve naturally instead of forcing the progression. Rachel is overall a joyous, enthusiastic and friendly person and it was a pleasure to have been able to volunteer for her.

My little girl loves going to Rachel’s Spanish classes. They are fun, engaging, and she really learns well in them. The items learned are topical (Halloween, Christmas, etc) and relatable to all the students and she really doesn’t mind practicing at home with the songs and new words learned which Rachel sends through after every class. My daughter has been attending Estrellas Brillantes since she was just months old. She is now nearly three and her little brother has joined her at class at three months. Rachel makes each class fun with lots of songs and games and really engages the children, no easy task when dealing with toddlers! My daughter has picked up so many words, phrases and songs already and thats just with one class per week, it will give her a great grounding in Spanish without her even really realising that she is learning - her nursery leaders have commented on it a few times too as she counts to 10 in Spanish when playing hide and seek! We hope our children will continue to attend the older classes when the time comes as well.

Rachel has been an excellent teacher to my daughter, Bethany. Rachel’s Zoom lessons have meant that Bethany could continue to learn Spanish whilst being in a different country. Bethany enjoys the remote learning with her Scottish friends. Bethany said that the reasons she loves learning Spanish with Rachel are because she makes the learning fun and exciting and she’s really nice.

Would highly recommend the Hola Caramelo classes! As a Modern Languages teacher, I was keen to introduce my wee one to languages in a fun, dynamic way. Rachel delivers a sensory based experience with a perfect balance of Spanish through song, rhyme and games with lots of props. She is clearly passionate about her classes as her delivery is always well planned and animated, providing lots of opportunities to motivate the kids to use the Spanish they’re learning. There is always a great buzz in the classes, lots of fun to be had. We started attending when my son was 3 months and he just loves to watch/listen to the songs, totally engaged in what is happening around him. He especially loves the bubble machine! I can’t wait to see my wee one engage more and more in the lessons as he grows!

I love this class. I take my 3 year old & she loves it too. She is picking up the Spanish language & having so much fun at the same time. Rachel is a brilliant class teacher & creates a great fun experience each week. Songs, sensory play, Makaton- it has everything. The church venue is large & ventilated & I feel safe taking my wee girl there. You can tell Rachel keeps everything well sanitised (We even get a small individual hand sanitiser at each safely distanced mat) It has also been a great chance to meet other parents/ grandparents & offers time for the little ones to enjoy some free play after class, & make wee friends of their own. I have been learning with Rachel over the past few years and cannot recommend her classes more highly. She is very patient, and her knowledge of the language is fantastic. I have found this allows her to easily explain and help even the slowest of learners with any queries. My daughter also attends her classes and has been able to soak up all the information on spanish which has been provided, between songs and interesting topics she thoroughly enjoys her classes. I have attended classes with my grandson and both of us enjoyed the interaction with props and songs to allow us to get a better understanding of spanish and easily use the words we have learned in everyday scenarios. All in all great teacher, great classes and a great platform to learn spanish....I would like highly recommend anyone interested in learning Spanish to try out a class.

My 5 year old daughter has been enjoying Rachel's preschool level class since she was 9 months old and is looking forward to starting the school age class this summer. When l ask her about what she enjoys about the class she says "all of it"! She really enjoys the songs and using the props from her "Bolsa Magica". Her favourite Spanish word at the moment is "perrito". She loves dancing along to the songs and running around chasing the bubbles. We have both made great friends at class with many of the children and their parents and have formed a great friendship with Rachel who is so friendly and approachable to all the children who come along, from the longer term attendees to those who are there for their first taster class.

My son joined Rachel's Caramelo class when he was 3 ½ and was instantly hooked with her delivery of the material through games and the catchy songs along with her bubbly personality. He would ask for the app on for every car journey so he could sing along. We always looked forward to our Saturday classes and now my son is almost 6 and has sinced moved up a few classes and still gets excited for his Spanish class every week! Taking Grayson to Rachel's class was definitely one of the best decisions I have ever made for him as I can see how much he has learned and how much he still loves it!

There is enough repetition and a clear format for the kids to learn some spanish and to feel familiar with things but also new songs and themes to keep it interesting - a great balance! I have been volunteering at estrellas brillantes for the past 9 months as i am a spanish student looking to improve my own language skills and become more used to a classroom environment. From my time observing and taking part, i have nothing but good things to say about the classes and praise for Rachel. Rachel offers amazing learning opportunities to kids of all ages (and adults in her other classes) and i have found spending time with her and the kids has been a really good way for me to not only practice my spanish but also improve my confidence. I also love helping out at the fundraisers that are held. The proceeds of these fundraisers go to charities in Bolivia to support the children living there and Rachel does an amazing job of keeping the kids entertained with different activities which are not only fun, but also promote learning and help the children to improve their spanish, wether by learning new vocabulary via games or singing songs. Her classes are relaxed, pressure free and rewarding and i would recommend them to anyone who is interested in having their kids try out a new language, or even for themselves in her adult and family classes. Personally, i have gained so much experience from the classes i volunteer at which i know will continue to benefit me in the future- there is an opportunity for everyone at estrellas brillantes! ⭐️

Rachel has done a fantastic job keeping all the kids engaged and entertained learning Spanish virtually! Rachel makes each lesson so much fun through song, dance and activities that the kids hardly notice they are learning Spanish words and phrases at the same time! The grounding they have from a young age even from only 1 class a week has really benefitted. I am a parent who has been sending both her girls to Estrillas Brillantes since classes began in 2017. I had previously been looking for local and affordable pre-school lessons for my older daughter with no avail, so I’d given up but when this opportunity arose, I jumped at the chance and I certainly wasn’t disappointed!! By the time the lessons fully began, my older daughter was in P1 and went after school to fun and interactive lessons that taught her the basics of Spanish though play, songs and a workbook. My younger daughter was 6 months old at her first session and loved her colourful and engaging class, with a great, and varied, use of toys, bubbles, parachutes and songs. Now, at the age of 4, she can tell you numbers, colours, animals, weather types, transport vehicles and more, plus sing full songs in Spanish!! Rachel herself is warm and welcoming, making all children feel included, happy and safe. Both my girls loved being with her and talk warmly about her.

'This is the worst day of my life! ' My 5 year old granddaughter's exact words when she realised that yesterday was her last ever Spanish class. We have been coming along to Rachel's Caramelo classes every Friday morning since she was two. We have both had so much fun, made new friends and learned lots of Spanish into the bargain. Rachel's ability to demonstrate certain regionalisms that are essential to the type of environment in which Spanish will be spoken is impressive. And of course, Rachel is a great teacher.
