As a working professional actor, I can honestly say that UK Theatre School was the most fantastic start to my professional career. UK Theatre School provided me with amazing, professional training in order to fully equip me with the skills and tools to continue my education and prepare me for the professional creative industry. The team of staff were all truely supportive and inspiring; UK Theatre School creates a safe, supportive and positive environment, allowing there students to learn and grow as performers. As a disabled actor I found it difficult to access youth theatre training when I was young. UK Theatre School fully supported me in my training in an environment that was fully accessible and inclusive. I could not recommend them enough for the younger generation who are looking at defining existing talent or who are ready to discover something completely new! UK Theatre School will help make any child/ young person's aspirations and goals a reality!!

I trained at UKTS on their musical theatre masterclass for 3 years and have played lead in many of their summer school productions. I consider my time there the most memorable and enjoyable chapter of my life. Not only are the teachers and staff working there extremely hard working and dedicated in bringing out the best in you as a performer. They genuinely care about you as an individual and I am still in contact with many of the faculty today despite having finished my training many years ago. It is an excellent training ground for anyone wishing to pursue performing arts.

A home away from home! Without UK Theatre school I wouldn’t be where I am now or the type of person I am today. What started as a hobby has become my career thanks to UK Theatre School. The training provided here is second to none, provided by some incredible tutors. Every need is catered for when it comes to performing arts, but most of all it’s a fun, happy place to be, you learn without realising. It’s like being part of another family, every single student is well looked after and cared for as individual. I trained at UKTS for years and made some really special friends while also learning a massive amount from really inspirational teachers! It was also my first experience of performing in a large scale show with a professional level rehearsal process which was so exciting and really valuable! It teaches the discipline you need to be part of the performing arts, (as well as making it so much fun!!) and making you feel like you’re a really valued member of the school. I’m now a professional actress and, looking back, I think UKTS played a huge part in giving me the skills and confidence to go for it! They’re a lovely, inclusive team of people and it’s truly the best start for someone looking to make a career out of performing in any capacity!

I went to UKTS for years and it is the best young performing arts academy in Glasgow by a long way. Not only did it pay the foundation of education for me to go on to study at the royal Conservatoire, it was a happy and friendly environment that felt pretty much like a second family to me. The training they offer and the teachers that educate there are second to none.

I joined UK Theatre School at the very beginning and both took classes and have in the years since, taught there. The training I received there was essential in my preparation for drama school auditions and helped me achieve success first time. I have now had consistent work as a professional actor for 10 years in both straight acting and musical theatre (currently in a No1 UK Tour) and I genuinely still value the lessons I was taught at UKTS as they have instilled disciplines and techniques that I have been able to rely upon and utilise even until this day. Almost more importantly though, I had a BLAST going there. I used to look forward all week to the days I would get to go and do what I love with my best friends who I wouldn't have met if it weren't for UKTS. I really felt like I fit in there because everyone loved what I loved, and I had never experienced that before. The teachers are incredible, hard working industry professionals who are often working in the profession at the same time as teaching so what they are teaching is relevant and they are highly skilled. Lizanne and Steven, the owners, are so invested in all the students and LOVE what they do! I cannot speak highly enough of UKTS, some of the best memories I have of my teenage years were made there and I am almost certain that without the training I received, if I did eventually gain entry to drama school, it would have taken a lot longer.

UKTheatreSchool opened up a whole world of fantastic things for me. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, enthusiastic and encouraging. I am currently working professionally within the film/theatre industry and can wholeheartedly say that this would not be possible with the training and nothing short of love I received during my time here. They are a successful family run business who make you feel like you are truly one of their own. Too single any tutor, office staff or assistant out wouldn't do the rest of them justice. I learned and grew so much here, not just as an actor but as a person. I cannot thank them enough.

I attended UKTS for 7 years, leaving the UKTS family was a sad time but the memories and skills I gained will live with me forever, the teachings here allowed me to work as a professional Actor in film and tv including Irvine Welsh’s filth. I have had the unqiue experience of working for Lizanne at Uk theatre school and being a pupil of hers many years ago. She is one of the world best teachers. She creates an environment where children can grow and develop themselves as well as their artistry. I believe that Lizannes nurturing and encouragement has shaped me into the performer I am today. The standard of teaching alone is on par with the best schools round the uk. Her kids produce industry level work, resulting in them working professionally on tv, film and stage. As a teacher, the kids are an absolute delight. They’re all mixed. Loud ones, quiet ones and all the imbetween. But every child gets stuck in and gets involved. They all bring out the best in each other. I work as a cover teacher , so I am not a regular staff member. But I jump at the chance to come in and work with the school and they are by far the best on every level.
