I joined Andrew’s class back in November and I thoroughly enjoy it! He is an excellent teacher and you are guaranteed to have fun. I’ve been wanting to improve my Italian for a while now and thanks to Andrew i’m getting better and better each week!

I have taken part in Andrew’s Italian classes initially via Zoom and then in the classroom and have found them all enjoyable. The lessons are well structured with a fun relaxed atmosphere with lots of conversation which helps to build confidence in speaking Italian. Would thoroughly recommend.

I’ve been with Andrew’s class for about two years now and can honestly say that I look forward to every session. His lessons are very well organised, they are well paced and fun! Andrew is so patient, you never feel silly about asking questions or making mistakes . He has kept the lessons going all through this pandemic, keeping them varied with enough revision to keep us on track and never boring. The class is made up of some very nice people too, it’s great!

I really enjoy Andrew's classes which are very well organised and well structured. There is also always a good recap the following week which helps to embed knowledge. Due to the pandemic, my local face to face classes were cancelled so I was recommended to join Andrew's classes remotely via zoom (as I live in Somerset). I've not looked back. I feel my vocabulary and technical skills have really improved and I enjoy the conversational pieces too now - which previously I really struggled with. It;s always fun, nothing is taken too seriously to make it uncomfortable and therefore it's a great learning environment. Grazie tanto Andrew!

Good teacher, friendly group= Fun Italian class.
Andrew' s professional approach coupled with his flexibility is impressive: Zoom lessons are very well structured with grammar points clearly explained, reinforced by ample practice exercises leading to further practice on topical subjects.
I enjoy the classes and appreciate Andrew' s patience and good humour.
Grazie mille.

I am really enjoying my fun Italian lessons which I started 2 years ago as an almost beginner. The teacher Andrew is so patient and explains everything really clearly and is so encouraging. I feel much more confident now conversing in Italian, and it's great staying with the same supportive group and all progressing together. Highly recommend !

Having had lots of problems learning languages in the past, I can highly recommend Andrew as a clear and encouraging teacher. The lessons are well structured and interesting and he provides really useful background documentation to the lessons. The class sizes are not too big and are really friendly and entertaining.

Whether to are looking to learn a a few holiday phrases or develop more conversational Italian, I can strongly recommend Andrew's group classes. A very patient teacher who incorporates lots of varied and interesting exercises, including games (Italian Bingo is great fun!) and gradually builds knowledge and confidence, with well structured lesson plans. It's amazing how your vocabulary builds. You're all in it together experiencing that initial embarrassment of trying to speak Italian, whilst remembering all those key words and phrases but, after the first few months, everyone starts to relax and help each other out. Our group has now been attending for just over a year and we all look forward to our Monday morning sessions.

Andrew is a great teacher and the lessons really are fun!! After a relatively short period of study I was able to speak Italian confidently on holiday. I've also made some great new friends too. I would recommend Andrew's courses to everyone.

A great way to learn Italian and make new friends. Fun lessons at a realistic pace that make it easy to learn this beautiful language. Andrew is a patient and creative teacher who has gone out of his way to make the lessons work even during the COVID pandemic. Highly recommended.

I have attended Andrew's classes for two years and have thoroughly enjoyed them. They are suitable for all levels from beginner upwards and incorporate conversation alongside a strong foundation of grammar. The classes are informal, supportive and enjoyable - it definitely is fun Italian! You make progress week on week and Andrew is always available for support and guidance. Highly recommended.

I attended Andrew's Italian classes for just under two years. I am a teacher myself and I loved how structured and well planned the lessons were. The grammar lessons followed on from on another really clearly and I have ended up with a detailed folder of work sheets and readings. The mini translations we do each week are great for learning general vocab and the conversations within class were super helpful. I really appreciated the time and effort that went in to the resources we used (little cards etc). A brilliant course that I have really enjoyed - I will miss my Tuesday evenings!

I have wanted to learn Italian for many years and did try a couple of online resources in the past but very quickly became hopelessly lost. I was left with the opinion that to learn a new language was a major challenge for me and I needed to approach this differently. I learnt of Fun Italia through an internet search and joined a small group of lovely people with Andrew as our tutor and things started to move in a positive direction. Currently everything is being conducted online using video conferencing that works very well and is an excellent and effective way of continuing our studies despite the current covid restrictions. Andrew is a great guy who is very tolerant of his students and is always happy to recap on difficult issues. If you want to learn Italian then I strongly recommend Fun Italia.

Learning a new language is a challenge, but Andrew is a great teacher, who delivers his fun lessons with patience and skill. From knowing no Italian whatsoever, I can't believe how much I've learned over the last year, through a combination of group sessions, homework and texts. Thoroughly recommend his classes.

A really relaxed and fun way to learn Italian. The lessons are well structured but have an informal atmosphere. The class sizes are small which helps keep it friendly and supportive. There is lots of conversation in Italian which is absolutely the best way to learn. Out homework reflects work learnt each week and Andrew gives us exercises by text during the week to keep us in our toes! I am amazed how much I have learnt in such a short time. I would thoroughly recommend learning with Fun Italian!

Andrews knowledge and enthusiasm for his subject are apparent in his enjoyable classes. They are challenging and informative , with plenty of time for conversations based on new words and grammar learned. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted to learn this lovely language.

As a result of spending several annual holidays in Italy with my only knowledge of Italian being that in my phrase book, I decided that I should learn how to use the language properly both in spoken and written form. This is exactly what Fun Italian has allowed me to do even though I am still at a fairly elementary level. The lessons have continued throughout lock down via Zoom and I look forward to my weekly sessions. The teacher is very understanding and allows us to take things at our own pace so there's no pressure. "Fun" is exactly the way to describe it and I have met some great people during the period I have been going to lessons. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Funiltalialessons offer a good balance of grammar and conversation in classes which are small, friendly and supportive. The handout/homework material is clear and concise and this provides the basis for class work. Excellent job Andrew. Grazie mille

Andrew has lived & worked in Italy for many years & has extensive knowledge of Italian/Italy which comes across clearly in his classes (all levels catered for from total beginner upwards).
Tuition materials/methods are excellent - written, spoken & audio areas are all covered which reflect real-world situations. Anyone apprehensive about being in a class situation needn't be at all concerned as there will be a really nice mix of friendly people with similar goals to yours and there is always a calm supportive atmosphere.
Starting as an absolute beginner 2 years ago, I've learned/retained a lot. You get out what you put in and you definitely get value for money. I feel comfortable when I visit Italy as I am keen to try out what I've learned - the Italians appreciate your efforts, which enhances your visits and, as a longer term goal, research studies show that learning a language is proven to increase brain function. I highly recommend Funitalian classes - Grazie Andrew.

Just completed three years learning Italian with Andrew. Good grammatical grounding which I like but classes are fun and not dry. Will I ever get to the top of the Italian mountain? Anyway, I will keep climbing cos it's fun.

I have been doing the lessons for roughly a year now, I joined 4 weeks in so was a bit apprehensive but Andrew made me feel well assured that I'd be ok and I haven't looked back since. One of the best things I have ever done I have to say. The classes are very comfortable and relaxed with a very good group of people. I honestly would take one every night if it was possible. Thank you Andrew and keep up the good work. Daniel Paton
