As a student here I can tell you there is :Good teaching and learning very good academically in pushing yourself to be the best and very diverse, however the school and detentions finish very late and by the time detention is over it's dark. Also there are many excessively strict standards that are unnecessary. However they can be quite sexist to boys in many incidents. More information is the playground is a bit small and there isn't a field but the location is very good and nice views of Leicesters buildings.

My daughter left her primary school during the initial lock down and had no transition to Castle Mead, she was obviously were slightly anxious, as was I. She is now in year 8 and absolutely loving life as a Scholar at this school. From the minute she started at this newly built school it was apparent that we had made the correct choice to send her here (this is not our local school) Why did we choose Castle Mead? When we attended the open evening in 2019 we could see genuinely happy staff, enthusiastically telling us about the curriculum they offered, the amazing temporary classrooms that had high standards of equipment and the plans showing us what the new build would be like, all these factors just sold it to us. During the January 2021 lock down, on line learning was provided, I looked in on a couple of lessons that my daughter was doing, and although they were on line, the standard of teaching and lesson content was absolutely amazing. To keep scholars engaged whilst not in actual school was important to me, as was the regular feedback they were getting, and I couldn't have been happier. Every day when I pick my daughter up, I always ask the same question "tell me something you have learnt today" and she can always tell me something new, and be excited to tell me these things! Castle Mead is a community where everyone's well being is always put first, and this is clear by the leaders of this school putting their staff and scholars first. They always encourage their scholars to achieve their best, positive behaviour is rewarded, which in turn promotes self believe. Their social media content also is very informative, promoting their day to day running of the school. I am particularly looking forward to watching their first ever CMA production that they are currently working on, a performance of Oliver. TMET is an academy group that I believe are leading the way in providing a very high standard of education, from primary through to secondary. As a parent I am proud of my daughters achievements, but that is down to the hard work and dedication that ALL of the CMA staff put in to making this a great school.

As a scholar at Castle Mead I recommend you sending your child to this school because the teachers are very well teached and very good at teaching. Also the school is strict in a good way so I left it 5 stars. Also the current buildings we are in are not permanent because we are waiting for the £38 million building. (Edit: 6 weeks left until the new building.)
