N. f.Situated at the west side of The Wirral Peninsula, WeST Kirby’s Marine lake has lots to offer, you can enjoy water sports like boating, windsurfing and kiting. With its picturesque views of Hilbre Island, The Welsh coastline and down the river Dee its a must for all to see.
You can walk right round the lake this is accessible to all abilities.
From here you can cross to Hilbre Island but must make yourself aware conditions.
J. H.Loved the sea breeze. A very relaxing walk to Hilbre Island on a rare, sunny September day.
Make sure to check the tide times before you start your walk and BRING YOUR LITTER WITH YOU OR DISPOSE OF IT CORRECTLY. Drink cans and dog poo bags do not belong on Hilbre. There are many bins along the sea front.

A. S.Beautiful place for walk. It's very exposed, so be aware that it may be very windy.
It's quite unusual too, in that the marine lake wall goes out into the sea, so you can find yourself walking in a very strip of land with waves coming at you from both sides!
D. M.Great safe marina for all manner of water sports (surface). Good walk all the way around, getting the sea air. Parking is frequently a challenge and some dog walkers need to carry plastic bags and learn how to use them.
